Entering Mai Thai in Boise, it is like entering Thailand itself – except here you can choose delicious dishes from any of the four regional cuisines of Thailand without having to leave town. Enjoy!

To say disappointed is an understatement. Two years ago we considered this to be a destination restaurant when passing through Boise. We should have realized this time when the usually packed restaurant was not very busy at the usual dinner hour. The prices were high, 5 of 8 in our party ordered the famous, now infamous pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken, came chicken-less with a 3 pieces of chicken exception in one of the dishes, and 1 shrimp in each. When asked about the lack of advertised shrimp and chicken the manager explained that there was a 2 shrimp distribution in each portion...never addressed the missing chicken and argued that 20% of the most vocal customers dish had been eaten as the protein was being searched for. The one vocal customer refused to pay, and it was taken off his tab, however the manager never apologized, never asked if there was something he could do to replace the dish, and never addressed the others in the group at all, who were shocked enough at the Managers response as to not even bother to say more. Needless to say, my husband and I who had spoken so highly of this restaurant were completely embarrassed and will never recommend this restaurant again. And yes, going forward when asked where we would recommend, we will say this is one to avoid!

The best Thai food in Boise. There's a reason that lots of people visit this place, everything was absolutely delicious. The service was fast and efficient. The seasoning was so authentic - more authentic than any Thai restaurant I've been to. Most of all I love their lunch buffet.

I really enjoy the decor and atmosphere. The waitstaff has always been pleasant and helpful. Some of the dinner entrees, such as the 'Evil Jungle Prince,' are just too spicy for our bourgeois Boise taste, I guess, but I really like the soups, and the edamame comes with a delicious dipping sauce. My husband's favorite entree to order here is the beef ribs. The lunch buffet tends to be a bit subpar, both in quality and quantity (sometimes the kitchen seems to have trouble keeping up). So . . . go for dinner rather than lunch!

I have never had a bad meal at Mai Thai. The atmosphere is amazing, and it is a little spendy, but it is definitely worth it. The servers always make sure you are comfortable. A great place if you want a romantic dinner. Lots of vegetarian and some vegan stuff. I recommend the desert that is lit on fire.

Foods looks good but, tasted not good when we catered for our wedding. The beef was on the chewy side. Should not catered at this restaurant .

Whenever I'm up in Boise area and alcohol is involved, I always find myself here afterwards. This is my favorite regardless if alcohol is involved. My favorite dish is Panang Steak. I'm no expert in Thai food but I always base my favorites on how it taste with a little spicy...I've had other noodle dishes and they are also good.
