Looks like we're in for some much cooler temps and windy conditions over the next couple of days as a very strong cold front works it's way through. Can't complain too much though, we've had a nearly perfect fall and winter so far.

None of these storms had a direct impact on SWFL.
None of these storms made landfall in FL.
Hurricane Irene had the biggest impact on the US killing 10 people in the US and with damage estimated to be $10.1 billion dollars.

Somehow I missed it, but it seems we have some Red Tide to deal with at the moment. There are high levels being measuered off of Sanibel, butso far nothing in PI Sound.

Rain guage was clogged up with a little contribution from the local birds. I've cleared it and the readings should catch up and be back workingin real time again in moments.

A little brisk this morning! First dip into the 40's (48 overnight low) since February 15th. The breeze is certainly putting an exclamation point on things!

Beginning to look like we may not reach our forecast 71 today. May not break out of the 60's.

Boil water notice in affect for St. James City. Broken water main near the KOA as best I can tell.

Looks like Thanksgiving day is going to be just about perfect. High around 75 and sunny. Enjoy that turkey folks!

Another beautiful day here on Pine Island, after yesterday's breezy coolness (high of only 68), temps are recovering nicely and should be in the mid to upper 70's today. This should continue for the rest of the week with temps right around 80.
