Posted by +Toby Stein on behalf of the Pages team:Circles and Pages: 4 tips to brighten your Tuesday
One priority for our team is to make circle management for Google+ Pages more robust, especially for those of you with large numbers of followers. However, in the meantime, here are a few tips on how circles can work for you.1. Encourage users to follow you.
This is critical since you will not be able to add them to your circles until they've added you first. So, it's worth investing the time in driving traffic to your page. Use brand badges
and your other presences on the web to encourage people to make your page a part of their Google+ family.2. Create a circle for your team.
While it may not make sense to sort thousands of followers, creating a circle for the members of your team allows you to use Google+ for internal communication for your company or organization. You can also share that circle with your followers to give your page a human touch.3. Create a circle of VIPs and influencers.
You might not be interested in sharing specifically to them, but it's helpful to know what the movers and shakers are saying! Make a circle of important opinion leaders and read through it by selecting that stream on the left side of your screen.4. Engage your followers by asking them where they want to be.
Use +1s or comments on a thread to tell you where your customers should be. This is a great way to show them that you're listening and can reveal new insights into your audience.
