Check out the fresh new Miles Apart EP by Australian production duo Paper Plane Project. Blending soulful hip-hop, low-slung beats, future funk, boogie and Latin rhythms, it features vocals from L.A. artists J. Mitchell and Raashan Ahmad, as well live horns and verses from local Sydney group True Vibenation. Following up from their acclaimed 2011 debut LP Pacific Connection, this new release shows an evolution in the Paper Plane Project sound with a sonic freshness that still contains that soulful, jazz-influenced vibe.

Jersey rhymesayer A.P. (aka AdotPdot) has joined forces with DJBooth, Mitchell & Ness Co., and XXL Magazine to bring fans his latest street release, Will I.E. (The Example). Executive produced by All Bets Down Entertainment with Wyldfyer and Rik Cordero and mixed by Alexander Da Great, the project features 12 fresh cuts from the up-and-comer. Joining A.P. on the guest tip throughout Will I.E. are Marsha Ambrosius and Netousha Monroe. It should be more than clear now that the Detroit hip-hop scene is stacked with incredible talent, and the city's growth in hip-hop music was no exception this year. That trend just might also continue well into 2012 if this track from Quelle Chris' Crown Nation partner, Denmark, is any indication. The slightly screwed weed-smokin' anthem, is a non-album cut, which leaves one wondering just what Denmark has in store for a proper project.

Production duo out of Baltimore, Heroes 4 Hire, recruit Duck Down Records artist Ruste Juxx for their latest release, "First Priority." This joint is not scheduled to be part of any forthcoming projects, however the Baltimore beatmakers have announced that Ruste Juxx will be joining them on their upcoming Anonymous Conglomerate album.
