If you're applying to the Innovator Academy you probably have a need to make professional looking screencasts. So you might like to check k out this deal from #techsmith

Hey all.

Unfortunately the Perth Summit has been postponed to a future date, and will not be taking place as planned.

However, instead, I'm running a two day workshop in Perth to dive into the world of Google GSuite, Drive, Mapping, Classroom, and more! It's not the Summit but it will be great workshop where we can really get into theses tools and how they can be used to transform your school and how you teach. So if you'd still like to get deep into some really Googley learning for a couple of days, why not join us for a more personal two day workshop.

Contact me directly for more information.

The Sydney Summit is only a few weeks away and we'd love to see you there. The event is hosted and supported this year by the NSW Department of Education (but still open to anyone to attend). It's also got 10 hours of NESA accredited PD for 2.6.2 at the Proficient Teacher level, so if you're looking for NESA PD hours, you're in the right place.

But mostly, it's a lot of fun, inspiring presenters, awesome workshops, and a great 2 days of learning cool stuff that is useful in your classroom.

What are you waiting for?

This is really comprehensive and informative article about Google’s growing presence on education. I find it fascinating that people complain ablut companies who profit from the education sector by charging lots of money for their products, but they still complain when companies like Google give their tools away to education for free. They complain when companies build products without asking what teachers really need, but then complain when they try to involve teachers in the creation of new products. You just can't win sometimes.
