The pool is open and the water is crystal clear.  The night time temperature has been in the 50's so I'll turn on the heater.  Today the temperature will hit 79 so pack your swim suit and come to the Berkshires.

The Brook Farm Inn library is where we serve tea and scones on weekends.  There are 300 volumes of poetry and a variety of interesting books to browse.

The first of the Rose Breasted Grosbeaks visited our feeder this morning.  The males usually arrive first and are joined by the females several days later.  They are among the most beautiful birds who visit Brook Farm Inn and we only see them for a short time in late spring.

A friend and I enjoyed a very happy stay at the Brook Farm Inn, a lovely home, a short walk (up a good hill) to the center of Lenox and very close to the Hawthorne St. entrance to Tanglewood. Warmly welcomed by friendly proprietors Phil and Linda, helped to our third floor room by Robert, we arrived to a charming bedroom overlooking the back yard and two glasses of sherry. The beds were comfortable, the room quiet, and the breakfast delicious, with a lively sweet French toast, hard boiled eggs, a variety of cereal, muffin, and fruit choices. We would definitely return again.

This review is false in every respect. Brook Farm Inn is a non smoking facility and meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Anonymous internet reviews can lead to this type of abuse. We have written to Google and asked them to investigate this review and remove it.

AN EXCELLENT B&B EXPERIENCE! My wife and I just returned from a three-day, two-night stay here. I'm not sure what reviewer Ryan experienced (see his review from June 13, 2010), but our stay was excellent—nothing at all like what he wrote. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. When we first arrived, there was a hand-written note and two small glasses of sherry welcoming us in our room. Downstairs were tea, chocolate chip cookies and warm scones fresh from the oven. (They serve tea each afternoon at 4:00.) The breakfast was delicious! Among the standard selection of juices, coffee and tea were bowls of fresh fruit, granola, warm sliced bread, homemade coffee cakes, fruit compotes, assorted egg dishes, and other goodies. (When we raved about their crème brûlée french toast, the owners gave us a copy of the recipe.) The grounds are green and nicely landscaped; fresh flowers abound. The back yard features a small swimming pool and a shaded hammock for lazy afternoons. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms for our first visit, but they let us peek into some of the other rooms briefly between guest check-out/check-in, and the ones we saw were quite lovely. Our room was clean and fresh—not a whiff of smoke, dust or anything else. (Again, curious where Ryan's review is coming from.) The entire house is decorated tastefully and elegantly. Be sure to check out the pictures on their website. We'll be back next summer for sure! Probably sooner than that, as the foliage is spectacular in the autumn. Heck, we may even head out there in the winter for a couple days of snowshoeing.
