Casper is in the beginning stages of a Lilac Ash Borer epidemic. The adults that look like furry wasps are emerging from the ash trees and you can see the casings sticking out of the tree. These wasp-like adult borers will soon be laying more eggs on ash trees all over the city. When the eggs hatch these white grub-like borers will be tunneling under the bark which ends up killing the ash tree

Have any of our Green Lawn customers noticed a pattern like this in your lawns?
It is from the deep root tree fertilizer that was applied this Fall. When the soil temperatures rise slowly but consistently like they have this Spring then you will see the fertilizer activate the grass like that. Normally you wouldn't notice because all of your lawn would look green, but the residual that leaks out of each injection site is making the grass around it very very happy right now and bringing those areas out of dormancy...
Do you like the pattern? Some people love it and some people hate it....what do you think?
