Great bar in the LES. Their Burlesque show on Tuesday nights is pure fun. With out a stage they invite members of the audience to participate in their show. They are such lovely, outgoing ladies! Truly a fun time.

This place is what I would call and up scale speak easy type of bar. The decor is really nice, vibe is cool but the drinks are straight up expensive. $13 for a cocktail is highway robbery. I'm guessing that price pays for the atmosphere but I just don't see the desire is that. Keep an eye out on the chalk board. This place hosts a secret ramen event on midnight some nights of the week.

Great cocktails on the LES. Been here several times and each time the drinks were great and so was the atmosphere. DJ comes in on Sunday afternoons and after 8 on weekdays. The happy hour is great, half price drinks and not crowded like most places in the city. Will definitely be back. Oh, and trust me on this one, get the incapcitator.

I am impressed. Usually, a bar that serves actual food can only do one of the two well, if even. Hill and Dale managed to score highly in both departments. The overall atmosphere was right up my alley- dark, exposed brick, and no fighting, no fighting. By the time I stepped into this bar around 6:30 pm, almost all the available seats were taken or had been reserved. The only two places left were the sofa seating by the window, or a couple of tables with high chairs. I'm glad I went with the couches since it was all ours for the duration of our happy hour. I ordered the daily bartender special for the night; I can't remember the exact name, but it contained rosé. I thought it was decent enough, but perhaps too dry for my taste. What I really had my eye on was the Floozy (and hoped would be the night's special), not just because I fall for cool marketing schemes and cute names and #flowersinmydrinks. All right, maybe it was because of all those reasons. It really won me over as it was exquisitely prepared, and gosh darn, that flower was so pretty. For grub, we ordered double-fried french fries, the seasonal risotto balls, 2 orders of the deviled eggs(one regular and one with pork belly), and the lamb burger, which I no longer see on the bar menu. Most of these items were on point: of the two types of eggs, I preferred the regular ones; they were simply delicious. The lamb burger was juicy, and made in such a way that you'd have to apologize for ripping into poor Lamb Chop because it's 'The Song That Never Ends..' 'Yes, it goes on and on my friend.' OK, I'll stop. Hill and Dale's one weakness was the risotto balls; they weren't seasoned enough and tasted like the unsuccessful ones I made one year: structurally sound, but lacking any real flavor.

SUNDAY FUNDAY bottomless brunch and good conversation amongst my crew. I loved the bacon here and the mimosas kept coming (Smiles). The kitchen was very accommodating and catered to my food alterations.

Service is much improved. My second favorite place for oysters and cocktails. Their twice-fried fries (with rosemary garlic aioli) are fantastic. The pickle plate is generous (though I am iffy about jicama still). LAMB SLIDERS--oooo. These were delicious. Limit 1dz $1 oysters per person, with a drink purchase. Malpeques, most recently. We had girls' night out here recently and some guy from across the way at Berkli Parc sent us a bottle of wine for being the best looking (and only) table of unattended ladies in the house! Head to the exposed brick back room for occasional live music, a full bar, mirrors, and plush parlor seating. And ask nicely for an outlet to charge your phone while you drink. I loved the swingy live music. There's room to dance too! Btw--Benkei Ramen ups the ante here, 12am onwards (slow still, but since it's a great cocktail bar you aren't left hanging with nothing to sip on as you await your slurpy ramen).
