Terrible food and service. Fajitas were over cooked and the ground beef for the tacos was still pink/raw when served. The waitress blamed this on marinating the beef in tomato sauce prior to cooking. This is not the case as the texture of mush and cold beef was proof enough that it was undercooked. The table behind us had the same complaint as well. There is a reason this place only had 4 tables seated. The mens bathroom was another story all together. The toliet was literally overflowing as was the only sink, water on the ground and all. I imagine the employees use this one as well. What are they tracking back to the kitchen and where do they wash their hands? Avoid this place unless you are adventurous and have money to waste. Never again! This place use to be our go-to for Mexican food. What happened?

Food is subpar. The horrendously outdated interior and filthy carpet only makes it worse.

I don't usually wright reviews but this absolutely the worst Mexican food and service we have ever had!! My family and I were in the neighborhood seeing some historic sights and decided to eat here. We were the only ones in the restaurant which should of told us something. Regardless we stayed, we were seated and given chips, salsa, water and menu's. The water tasted like chlorine and we had to get up to find the waiter to refill our chips. When we ordered, the waiter did not ask us for our bean choices on the platters as indicated we could have on the menu (black or re-fried). We ordered guacamole as an appetizer which was loaded with salt and big onions. The rice had no flavor, all the shells were soggy so our taco's fell apart and I'm sure they used canned chicken for the entree's, that we ordered in chicken. Additionally, the platters do not come standard with sour cream and guacamole like most restaurants. So we had to pay an additional charge for it. We had to ask for pop refills and, never once were our empty dishes removed from our table. The costs of our dinner was close to $56.00 for two adults and two children and It was the worst dining experience of our life! We have had a healthier meals and better service from the drive thru's at local fast food restaurants in the area. I gave it a one star because I couldn't go any lower.

We went for a late lunch the other day and had the best food we have had there. We had a groupon and ordered Suizas & a dish that had jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon, plus steak. Both were excellent. You have a choice of beans and we went with the black beans. This is the first time we have really thought the food was good and we have been quite a few times with family gatherings. Hoping it stays this good.

Gawd! Most disgusting Mexican restaurant and food I have ever eaten. Incredibly smelly and dank. I have been in dives in Mexico that were better run, and cleaner. Service was horrible, due to one waitress only and she was doing the main restaurant, the bar and bar tending. The couple checking out ahead of us wanted to complain to the manager/owner, the one waitress couldn't find him. If I had only read a review first I could have saved myself the trouble and possible illness.

One word - Filthy. We were there Sunday Dec 14th. No set covers or paper towels in the ladies room. We were seated at a obviously dirty table and after ordering were only visited once by the server. They could have hung ornaments from the spider webs.

Have been going to this restaurant over a dozen years. We have noticed it has been looking run down the past few months. Tonight has shown us just how low they have gone. We went to El President to have a family dinner. The dinner was $31.46. The service was better than it has been. The food was OK. However, when we went to pay for the dinner with the gift certificate I received for a Christmas present, the cashier stated they are under new management since September 2013, and won't accept any certificates from the old management. I pointed out to them, the certificate was dated 12-24-13. Alas, they came up with a new excuse that they did not recognize the signature on the certificate and would not honor it. I did end up paying for my dinner. Very poor business practices. Won't be returning.

Wait staff was very nice, no complains about them. But the food.. the tamales were like the microwavable kind that you buy from Costco ? Canned beans. Dry rice. Food was not good. Oh & their music puts you to sleep. They need new age mexican music please
