Recently, a very large scale network attack with about 75,000 computers has been infected in 99 countries by a known ransom ware blackmailer known as WannaCry. What is this and how to prevent it please follow the following article.

💰 What is Ransom ware WannaCry?

WannaCry is a malicious program that infiltrates a device, a user's computer, or a computer in an enterprise system that automatically encrypts a wide range of files in targeted formats such as text documents and images. Individual and business users will pay a small amount of money if they want to retrieve the data.
Regarding the way to infect, WannaCry finds vulnerabilities and infects them within the organization by exploiting a vulnerability disclosed by the NSA tool that was stolen by a hacker group, The Shadow Brokers. This blackmail is primarily exploited by the SMB protocol flaw in which individual organizations have not patched the vulnerability in time, focusing on Win2k8 R2 and Win XP.

This type of attack is different from the traditional computer worm, which programs itself to clone itself into the computer system and trick users into clicking malicious links.
It is estimated that this cyberattack affects around 99 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Russia, Spain, Italy, Taiwan (China), Vietnam and Many other countries. According to Intel experts, the flaw has been reported in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and may be spreading across the country.
Until May 13, according to TheHacker News, the largest malicious code ever , has successfully infected more than 200,000 Windows-based PCs in at least 99 countries. Only within the first few hours of releasing, the amount hackers behind WannaCry took was about $ 30,000.
Without a break, a more sophisticated upgrade version of WannaCry 2.0 has been released by hackers and continues to infect hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide.

🔎How to launch WannaCry antivirus?

According to the CMC INFOSEC experts, hackers will see more new WannaCry variants as well as more sophisticated malicious code.
Therefore, the urgent task for now is to temporarily disable SMB and continually update the patches with the Windows operating system, especially with the server. In addition, users still need to prevent from opening of strange emails and unknown source.
Businesses and users can download Microsoft's hotfix, for bugs in the SMB protocol; also versions are no longer supported, including Windows XP, Vista, Windows8, Server2003, and 2008.
Besides, you need to regularly back up your data and have backup options for your data; prevent strange links, which for best enterprises should have a private machine to remote staff when they suspect unsafe mail. For individual users always install antivirus software on mobile and computer, especially specialized software for malicious code data encryption.

Nowadays, Vietnam becomes popularity on the global map of sourcing destinations, and gradually reaches the top of manufacturing location in the world. In fact, Vietnam attracts foreign investment because of cheap labor. In the process of developing, that is very important for Vietnamese market when Vietnam became a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007. That slow start has not prevented Vietnam from becoming one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. In the past decade, Vietnam’s economy has boomed, with an average 7.3 percent gross domestic product (GDP) growth per year. As production costs in other countries rise, more manufacturers are gradually moving production to Vietnam.

In 2011, Vietnam was ranked the eighth position in the global software development outsourcing, among the 50 countries which were most attractive for their software outsourcing, according to the US-based AT Kearney consulting group.

Based on the contours of the offshore landscape in 55 countries across three major categories: financial attractiveness, people skills and availability, and business environment, AT Kearney’s research showed that Vietnam remained in the global top ten for software outsourcing rising two places to 8th from 10th position in 2010 but a massive 11 places since 2007.

The ranking list was based on consideration of the following criteria in 50 countries: services and IT supporting, customer service and IT application support. The three major standards were financial attractiveness, human resources and business environment. Vietnam took the lead in the financial index.

2016 A.T. Kearney Global Services Location Index™ Top 20

Vietnam moves up one spot in the index as it creates a strong base of BPO service centers and moves into IT-related functions too - serving as a destination for companies from both Asia Pacific (especially Japan) and Europe. Costs have increased in line with economic growth, but Vietnam’s move up the value chain has been able to compensate for the loss in economic competitiveness.

To capitalize on the loyal low cost resource, most of European, USA and Australian clients are moving to Vietnam. India maybe the biggest but Vietnamese staff are loyal, staff retention is outstanding, and productivity is high.

According to Research and Markets in February 2016, the development of Vietnam's local IT industry, with software development and outsourcing services firms developing rapidly and positioned to benefit from large foreign enterprises seeking lower-cost locations over the medium-term. We forecast the IT market in Vietnam will expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.7% forecast for 2015-2019, and the market is expected to reach a value of almost VND 103.8 Trillion in 2019.

By this way, The Where in the World report ranks nations according to their attractiveness for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) – taking into account factors including cost, quality of service and their political and economic stability. It separates these markets into two categories: ‘Mature’ and ‘Pioneering’.

At a global level, the BPO and Shared Service market continues to expand at pace, but the shifting focus of occupiers and investors continues to reflect the dynamics of the change in landscape and the pursuit of a balanced trade-off between cost and quality. While some markets have seen significant increases in cost due to wage inflation, others have repositioned their offerings competitively with new pioneering markets continuing to emerge.

From a global perspective, India has retained its position as the world’s leading outsourcing market with 56% global market share with the Philippines in second place with 15% – an industry that delivered 7% of the country’s GDP in 2015 compared to just 0.08% in 2000.

However, as a pioneering BPO destination 2016, Vietnam is in 1st rank. Vietnam leads in cost environment including labor productivity, lower rental payments and building costs. Nobody can deny the outsourcing work has been developed increasingly in Technology Information industry in recent decades due to the unexpected advantages it has brought. These are swiftness, expertise, risk –sharing, cost- saving of operation and recruitment... and plenty of others. The question is why a lot of entrepreneurs has praise the merits of outsourcing development work overseas, while others have sworn off because of horrible experience. That leads to the fact that it is not obvious that all organizations will get the bright success smoothly when outsourcing their projects. Really, there are some pitfalls of software outsourcing development overseas must be highly considered as much as its advantages if you are in the process of choosing a decent offshore vendor.

❌ Low Quality: The huge issue is how to define properly the expertise in advance as well as control constantly the quality of the offshore vendor you tent to cooperate to outsource your project. How can you even judge the developers through their list of portfolios? In fact, in the regular practice for most of oversea devs, they listed out many grand projects while only small or tiny its parts were involved by them.
👉 So what is the solution?
Rather than make sure the candidate can code really, match with what you are expecting, a technical interview is definitely essential. Now there are various tests designed suitably to different kind of projects or works to see that actual his/her qualifications.
You can also have a local person who has general knowledge of the industry but has none of reason to bias toward this offshore vendor consult and do some legwork as well as carry out the test of project to define if they are good fit.

❌ Code Collaboration: Not same as other industries, Software Outsourcing Development is the most adequate to grow up continuously over the world, regardless of the limitation of location. However, this pertains always to the obstacle of different time zone. It is really tough to get 100% percent of quality of work of developers when they have to wake up at midnight for a conference or an urgent meeting.
👉 So what is the solution?
A way to get around is you can assign a member of your team to offshore vendor’s country as project manager who will understand well the working timeframe of both sides to make sure the effective communication. That sounds great when this can also prevent problems caused by distinction of culture or working style. Really, this project manager will provide a buffer between clients and developers.

❌ Unmatched requirements: Most of the times, what presented to customer is the product of the ending development. Also, sometimes the customers are not good at describing what they need or even don’t know exactly what they are expecting. Therefore, unmatched requirements of the customer are a common issue when outsourcing a project to offshore vendors, which caused basically by unclear communication between customer, outsourcing company, and offshore vendor.
👉 So what is the solution?
Always keep the constant management so as to never get out of the control of project. The leader and offshore vendor need to understand well each and everyday requirements of customers. That means the constant effective communication from all sides.

▶▶▶Of course, there are other factors need to be considered also, such as, risk of exposing confidential data, hidden cost… Thus, the more pitfalls you can take caution and prepare its solutions appropriately in advance, the better your outsourced project succeeds.

😐 I think back to the terrifying CoD Modern Warfare 2, the ‘No Russian’ level where you pose as a terrorist and part of the infiltration is to attack an airport with a group of terrorists.

😐 A grim and scary level which I think CoD allowed you to skip without any effect on your overall score etc.

😐 In 2000 Ion storm made a game called Deus Ex, set on a future earth. The first level is set in new york, on liberty island. One of the first thing people noticed when looking at the skyline was that there were no twin towers. The real life explanation for this was that it was too big for the skybox, and therefore was excluded to save space. To explain the removal of the twin towers in game it was stated that a terrorist attack had taken out the twin towers.
Less than a year later the 9/11 terrorist attacks destroyed the twin towers.

1) Drink Water On An Empty Stomach - I was a Division 1 soccer player in college and one of the things we were taught was to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning. Do it on an empty stomach immediately after you wake up. It is super simple and has a number of benefits such as flushing out toxins, speeding up your metabolism, and flushing out your bowels.

2) Meditate - Set aside 10–20 minutes a day to meditate. Meditation helps you manage stress, stabilize your mood, increase the gray matter in your brain, and more.

3) 💃 Dance - Turn on your favorite music and dance! Let loose and start feeling excited about the day. Let the music play as you go through your morning routine. This helps you start your day off on a happy note.

4) Wim Hof Breathing Method - Fill your brain and blood with fresh oxygen. Doing this technique for just 10 minutes makes you feel more alert and alive. For more information on this, click here => Wim Hof Breathing Method

5) 📋 Create A Task List - Put together a short and concise list of things you want to get done for the day. Doing so keeps you focused and gives you a clear sense of direction for the day.

6) ⚽ Go For A Run - As a former Division 1 soccer player in college, we started off most of our mornings by running, and it’s incredibly good for you. Speed up your metabolism and develop self-discipline while taking in fresh oxygen. I also found that morning exercise is a fantastic way to wake yourself up in the morning.

7) ✏ Free-Write - You will find this especially beneficial if you’re an artist. Before going to sleep, set a pen and notebook by your bed. When you wake up the next morning, immediately start free-writing anything that comes to mind for three whole pages. Don’t limit yourself. If you have nothing to say, write what you’re currently wearing. The goal is to not stop writing. This “brain dump” exercise will leave you feeling incredibly refreshed in a unique way.

8) 📺 Watch Motivational Videos - Who doesn’t love getting pumped up in the morning to start off the day?

9) 🌞 Wake Up Earlier - Exercising this element of self-discipline helps set the tone for the rest of the day. Studies show that doing so increases productivity throughout the rest of the day. This may not apply to you if you are someone who is more productive late at night.

10) Clean Up - You know the deal. Take a shower, brush your teeth, and dress for success.
