Oh well, more drunken drivel that just occurred to me as I was about to lay me down to sleep. Some people count sheep, I count crows. I saw this Magritte painting on Biblioklept, a blog I follow on Wordpress, and wrote this ekphrastic poem licketysplit. Took less than 10 minutes. The painting is called Prince Charming.

A Taste of Hawaii: Ahi Pizza
July is upon us. It is summer in the city which, unlike the sweltering feet-baking concrete, flesh-melting summers of Manhattan where I was hatched and raised,  in San Francisco means long gloomy days chilled by relentlessly brutal fog and wind, where the s...

Still… All memory fades – eventually, like the lipstick painted too heavily on this clown mouth I always wear. At first thick- the lush red flush glistens until untasted it falls…

Haha! I honestly don't know the where and who, I found it purely serendipitously on a blog and filched it. A reverse-google-imaging returned nothing substantive re either location or photographer, but I agree. Tis a lovely sentiment indeed! :D

An Easy Recipe for the Summertime Blues (The Whole Enchilada)
I am inhabited by a cry. Nightly it flaps out Looking, with its hooks, for something to love. I am terrified by this dark thing that sleeps in me; All day I feel its soft, feathery turnings, its malignity. ~Sylvia Plath I've not felt like writing much these...

Introduction
I love to laugh...
I think life should be fun...
Thinking is so delicious to me
I say "Mmm..."
after a particularly tasty thought.

To those who keep banging their heads into that proverbial wall:

Einstein once said, "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
So... dare to explore the uncertain outcome or risk both your sanity & your ultimate fulfillment...

I'd like to meet people with honest characters, curious minds, and open hearts.

"I grok people. I am people… so now I can say it in people talk. I've found out why people laugh. They laugh because it hurts so much… because it's the only thing that'll make it stop hurting."
~Robert Heinlein, Stranger In A Strange Land

‘Eiusdem libidinis est videri et videre’
~Tertullianus

"If you stuff yourself full of poems, essays, plays, stories, novels, films, comic strips, magazines, music, you automatically explode every morning like Old Faithful.
I have never had a dry spell in my life, mainly because I feed myself well, to the point of bursting. I wake early and hear my morning voices leaping around in my head like jumping beans. I get out of bed quickly, to trap them before they escape."
– Ray Bradbury
