Johnny-Boy
I have no pictures of Johnny Boy.  Nothing to remember him by. Except this story. He was named John after his father, but there was a sweetness and light to Johnny-Boy that always made you want to add an extra term of endearment whenever you addressed him. ...

Though I Can't Swim
My head is twirling, which is no surprise, since I have umbrella-stepped my way through life,  landing like Mary Poppins on every rooftop, one by one.  Razing days like sugarcane from sun to sun.  I was born in mid-air. Tip-toeing over tightropes. Slicing p...

Such a thorough piece (needing to be read several times I feel) … and much too much to pick and offer up a cogent individual comment on. Much common thinking should be slowley drawn like botanical osmosis. And deserving of more than the sometimes perfunctory and often convenient read it, liked it simple key board click … plus one. A properly good post.

Cookery 101: Leftover Magic
MFK Fisher once wrote, “Central heating, French rubber goods and cookbooks are three amazing proofs of man’s ingenuity …” There is an implicit understanding in the relationship between the cook and the recipe. Recipes can provide a point of departure. A pla...

Introduction
I love to laugh...
I think life should be fun...
Thinking is so delicious to me
I say "Mmm..."
after a particularly tasty thought.

To those who keep banging their heads into that proverbial wall:

Einstein once said, "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
So... dare to explore the uncertain outcome or risk both your sanity & your ultimate fulfillment...

I'd like to meet people with honest characters, curious minds, and open hearts.

"I grok people. I am people… so now I can say it in people talk. I've found out why people laugh. They laugh because it hurts so much… because it's the only thing that'll make it stop hurting."
~Robert Heinlein, Stranger In A Strange Land

‘Eiusdem libidinis est videri et videre’
~Tertullianus

"If you stuff yourself full of poems, essays, plays, stories, novels, films, comic strips, magazines, music, you automatically explode every morning like Old Faithful.
I have never had a dry spell in my life, mainly because I feed myself well, to the point of bursting. I wake early and hear my morning voices leaping around in my head like jumping beans. I get out of bed quickly, to trap them before they escape."
– Ray Bradbury
