"Ah, I know what you mean." I really do. It's just that none of it makes much sense.

This is all about a local author, from Manchester, apparently. Well, we haven't heard much about him, here in Salford. Still, he looks strangely familiar .........

Ask me a question and I'll tell you some lies (as someone famous once said). Or have I got that quote wrong??

Hello, World. My name is Mike Scantlebury, but then, so it is for another five or six people in the world too. Hard to believe, isn't it?

I love these intellectual and academic reviewers. They really know their literature!

What's new? I've put my name down for a mention on Kindle Scout, the new talent scouting agency run by Amazon's Kindle. The idea is that authors can put in a submission from a new novel and readers can select the ones they like and want to see more of. My piece is Chapter One of a mystery crime thriller I finished last November. If I give you the link below, you can check it out. If you like it, you can simply click the 'Nominate' button. If I get enough clicks, Kindle will promote the book for me - and you, if you clicked it, will be sent the whole novel, FREE of charge. Woo Hoo. It's a win-win! Here's the link:

Here's the latest chapter in the never ending campaign to get the truth about 'silver' fillings out there into the community

If you think that mercury fillings are perfectly safe, then you haven't spotted the fatal flaw in the argument made by people defending them. It's all about class, mate, right here in the UK !

This is a message from Guru Mike. What? You don't like bad news? Sorry, but the information you might be getting from the dental industry is not as reassuring as they want you to believe. It's all about the scientific studies - how trustworthy are they? What do they really say?
