Peacock Engineering bolsters support team for influx of complex asset management support contracts

With customer service and support high on the agenda for asset managers Peacock Engineering Limited (PEL) has strengthened its support team to cater for increasing customer demand. Supply of support for PEL delivered implementations continues as before but the company is experiencing a significant increase of new support contracts requiring specialist services to bring them back on target. PEL reports a 100% customer retention rate for support contracts and has successfully dealt with over 4,000 support calls (both simple and complex) over the last four years.

Talking about support delivered, Alan Cambridge, a director of PEL, reflects, “Delivering support is complex when you are dealing with an intricate solution like IBM Maximo. Calls vary radically from simple password queries to requests for change that require intricate support from highly skilled consultants. Our team has the full scope of skills required to support every customer query and we have successfully dealt with more than 4,000 support calls to date – and this number is set to increase quickly over the coming months with contracts moving to us from other support organisations. Critically, once a customer turns to us for our support, they never turn away again. That is a unique position to hold.”

PEL’s support is delivered 24/7 365 days of the year by a team of engineers and consultants with technical and industry skills to meet the project requirements of all customers. For more details see the PEL case studies at http://www.peluk.org/casestudies or check out the support service offerings at http://www.peluk.org/services/ibm-maximo-support

Peacock Engineering takes asset management into the field

Peacock Engineering Ltd today launches Fingertip for Maximo, a suite of mobile applications supported on Android and iOS devices to provide knowledge and decision support where they count – at the point of activity. The mobile apps promise to transform the way asset and service management organisations manage their business through improved information and communication for engineers operating in the field, enabling them to collaborate in real time at all times.

With Fingertip, staff in front line positions have the information they need to undertake their work and the facility to capture the information required from them to support the next steps in the process. The suite currently includes:

Work Order Updates
Work Assignment Updates
Self-service Service Requestor
Further modules will be added to the portfolio to meet specific market demands.

Fingertip features include:

Hybrid application design for portability
SSL support for secure implementation
Connected and Disconnected operation
Agile framework facilitating new application development
Roger Walker, a director of Peacock Engineering, comments, “It is our aim to provide systems that are reliable and available, with intuitive interfaces to ensure high user uptake and quality data are achieved. Fingertip for Maximo is an exciting development and meets this aim by extending the most used features of Maximo out into the field so that information is recorded in real time as work is undertaken. This should have a positive impact on asset availability and the overall effectiveness of operating equipment.”

New “Rolls” for Andy Burrell as he joins Peacock Engineering

Peacock Engineering today announces the appointment of Andy Burrell as Sales Manager. Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the asset and service management sector, having worked, most recently, in business development for Rolls-Royce’s IT business, OSYS, and, previously, as technical sales lead for MRO, where he worked with two of Peacock Engineering’s Directors.

He is a consultant with nineteen years’ business application software industry experience. Roles to date have included principal consultant, business development manager, account manager, presales consultant, systems support manager and customer support analyst. All of these focused on end user or customer business change from medium to large corporate environments. His industry knowledge is broad but special emphasis has been placed on the Oil and Gas (E&P, Midstream, Downstream) and Aerospace (Maintenance, Flight Operations, Engineering and Regulatory) sectors. He has managed various projects to develop new offerings and bring them to market. Some notable examples are Compliance reporting for EU ETS in Aviation, EMIS consulting for BP, and Data Value Analysis for RR Energy.

Mike Knapp, a Director of Peacock Engineering, comments, “Andy has huge knowledge of the Maximo market and customer base so he can add value from day one. Not only that, some of us have first-hand experience of working with him and we know that he will bring a real focus to our software sales efforts. He takes ultimate responsibility for all product sales and, as we continue to grow and diversify our product range, Andy will create and execute new product sales plans with our full support. We are delighted that he chose to work with us, given that he had many other options to consider.”

Andy Burrell adds, “Peacock Engineering has a great reputation for delivering robust and reliable solutions to customers. Their emphasis on quality is important and I look forward to working with everyone in the team to further develop the business and drive future customer success.”
