Well it has been a while since I posted here, so I thought it time for an update.

Over the past couple of months we have added marriage records for a number of Dorset parishes:
Belchalwell 1843-1922, Hinton St. Mary 1837-1921, Hammoon St. Mary 1837-1924, Woolland 1837-1921, Ibberton St. Eustace 1837-1921, Stoke Wake All Saints 1838-1921 and Haselbury Bryan 1837-1886.

We have also completely transcribed the Topographical Dictionary of England by Samuel Lewis, 7th edition published in 1848.
We are currently going through each place and adding the poor law union, hundred, wapentake, etc. to each parish page, with a link to the Lewis entry where relevant.

To top off the week we have just heard that findmypast have another special offer for the next week only. Get a 1 month subscription to the World collection for half price. See the details on our homepage:

Okay, so we're back from our development break.

We have just finished transcribing the Marriages at Belchalwell, Dorset from 1843-1922, which have been added to the Dorset Marriages database.

There will be many more parishes added over the coming weeks.

We've been very busy working in the background over the past couple of months, and it is now time to share with you.

We are pleased to announce that our new shop is open, where you can buy hundreds of genealogy and family history related books on CD-ROM.

We will be adding hundreds more CD's to the shop over the coming months.

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a great holiday season.

I can't believe it has been nearly 2 months since I last posted, but in that time we haven't abandoned the site. There have been many little updates which did not warrant a post on their own, so here goes for a summary:

We added a part transcript of the marriages at Ash, in Surrey, from 1754-1783 which we will finish shortly. We also added the marriages at Alfold St. Nicholas from 1797-1837.

We have been adding descriptions of all of the churches in Northamptonshire, which is just about complete.

We have added listings of all Registration Districts in each county. Also, added listings of the Hundreds/Liberties to many counties with the parishes contained in them. Some counties now have a list of the Poor Law Unions with the parishes contained in them.

There has also been a lot of development work for future releases, which will come to fruition later this year.
