All work that adds to the foot print of your house, extra plumbing connections or changing a structural aspect of your house requires council approval. Work that generally won’t need approval is replacing existing work, small decks that are less than 10m2 and no higher than 2.4m above natural ground, fences that are less than 2m high. Any extension to the roofed area needs to have council approval.

How good does this place look? Continuous tiling, light walls, new light filled room and enormous modern kitchen going in. https://buff.ly/2pAbEVS

You need an engineer when your existing building or proposed building has one or more of these elements:
• Earth retaining walls
• Reinforced concrete columns
• Roofs in cyclone affected areas
• Footings in clay soils or on soft or sloping sites
• Steel floor beams and roof girders
• Suspended concrete slabs

As well as offering uninterrupted views, a sloping block may also add to the building expen$e due to logistical challenges (i.e. transporting materials to the site). As well as a soil test your engineer will require a slope analysis report if the slope if greater than 15 degrees. https://buff.ly/2kxjfSi #wardbuilders #sunshinecoastbuilders #homerenovations #sunshinecoastrenovations #renovationbuilder #sunshinecoastcustomhome #sunshinecoastrenovationbuilder #sunshinecoastalterationbuilder
