Mark Dougherty: I found your blog last night when I googled the Raggedy Assed Miner's Bar. I was looking through your old Leadville photos when I thought I saw a very familiar face. In the photo of you and your friends on the summit of Mt. Elbert you identify the girl immediately to your left as Lisa. Are you certain? She is the spitting image of Janet Hermann, who spent the summer of 1975 in Leadville visiting her boyfriend Burt Marker. Burt was a mine engineer at Climax, I believe. I married Janet in 1998. Her smile, nose, and cheeks are still identical to those on the girl in the photo, and she recalls your name, although after 39 years her memory of the folks she knew in Leadville is a bit sketchy. She had a hat like that then, too. Any possibility you mis-identified her in the photo? My apologies to Lisa if I'm mistaken. You can reach us at <mmdjld@gmail.com> if you want to.
