Great, Joseph. I'm going to quote this everywhere I can. FYI: In my continuing exploration of Boje's work, and of quantum consciousness , I came across a book by two architects, Charles Jencks and Nathan Silver---Adhocism: The Case for Improvisation. Like Boje's writing about storytelling organizations, Jencks and Silver's book characterizes the open system of Adhocism as always being in relation to other (closed) systems. It honors the generative nature of "the leap" while trimming its wings with the adjacency to existing systems, structures and historical narratives. As the glider pilots say, we've got to "stick our nose" into the updraft, and then move into it with an understanding of the relationships involved. Flying into the sun while understanding its relationship to the wax that holds our feathers together is the cut. The causality is not in the concept of flight, it's in our relationship to the updraft.

This play holds the keys to two important concepts in quantum storytelling: the materiality of stories, and the intra-actions of observers. There's more, but those are two big ones...

When my friend Zabeth wanted to buy some of my mom's fashion designs, it turns out she didn't have any photos or a catalog to show Zabeth. So I modeled some of the merch myself.
