Service was slow but friendly and food was just OK. Celadon was one of the best Thai places in Hillcrest and now it's mediocre. My salmon was very dry and overcooked and so was the brown rice. We had to wait for getting our order and our first drink placed for about 15 minutes. Try Lotus or Amarin.

The food was AMAZING!! I went here with my family while on vacation in San Diego. When you're on vacation, restaurants are kind of hit or miss. This one was a big hit. We are planning on going back

Probably one of the best places for Thai food in San Diego. The service can be a little slow at times. But the food is great. And the atmosphere is even better for groups or just for a date.

Pictures looked good. The place was like a house with some fancy furniture. I am in town on vacation and needed some wholesome Thai food in my diet. Overpriced, food was ok but I have had better, no one has done a review in 2010. Skip this location. Oh....the place was so dark I didn't know if I was having beef or basil.....until it was too late.

Slowest staff ever! Not even a hello. This happened last time, I had to raise my hand for five minutes to get noticed.

The good: Hipster decor, friendly efficient staff. The bad: The food is toned down for a Middle American palate, which you should keep in mind if you like spicy, bold flavors. There was one dimension in which the flavors go overboard: sugar. Every dish seemed loaded with it. The pad thai was sickeningly sweet, as was the tom yum soup and the red curry. The ugly: The prices are considerably more than at other Thai restaurants in Hillcrest. That wouldn't be a horrible offense if the food was outstanding. But it's barely mediocre, which makes you feel robbed by the time you walk out the door.
