Just using all that I am learning from Chris Brogan's online class on mastering the digital channel to create my Book Marketing Mastery Community. Great ideas!

One in five Pinterest users have purchased something they’ve seen on the site, and when they do buy, they spend around $80 per purchase — twice that of Facebook buyers. Could this apply to book buying? What do you think.

The other good news is that Pinterest now offers business pages. I think it's a wise move to start one.

Session Description: The significance of the JOBS Act to the M&A Profession has yet to unfold but early indicators such as the SEC's recent Funders Club no-action letter suggest fundamental change to the methods of private capital formation in the United States.

I also like what I read in the reviews of this book - http://www.amazon.com/How-Get-People-Stuff-ebook/dp/B00BU5G6HU/ref=pd_typ_k_sp_1_7_p - It's about a psychologist who shares, among other things, that giving people a selection of choices, all of which could also benefit you, empowers them into action.

Want to motivate someone? Then shut up already! A new study shows that strong, silent coaches improved performance by 33%, while vocal coaches improved it by only 22%. http://bit.ly/136whct

Just watching one of Chris's videos on listening. Do we have a hashtag to talk about this class?

For this next exercise my outposts are LinkedIn (1), Twitter (2), Facebook (a distant 3). I also use Google and am focusing on it because of this course. I have also read Chris's book on Google and it helps to give one encouragement to keep using it and growing the outpost.

I have gotten a huge piece of business from Twitter by asking questions.
From LinkedIn I get weekly inquiries. This happens after you have a substantial enough number of connections. From what I have researched and experienced, that number is 2000 connections.

This is where people see who you know and a number of my connections have endorsed me, so, seeing this, these "extended" connections reach out and connect with me.

This all starts on LinkedIn by being what is called an "Open Networker." What I have found it is better to connect with almost everyone and then, if they get spammy, you can always just remove them.

I always ask people why they decided to connect. Here is a recent response:

Paul has indicated you are a fellow group member of TopLinked.com (Open Networkers) · I'm interested in finding out more about your services for potential authors. And I'd like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn, if you don't mind. Thank you.

I get 2-4 or so queries like this weekly. I have found nothing better for growing a sales funnel.

+MelissaGWilson This is very insightful. Thanks. FYI, It looks like you posted it to public instead of to the MDC discussion.
