I had to rely on that Bergen Avenue bus every day from 1987 to 1992 or whenever it was.  At the beginning, one elderly driver drove an antique General Motors bus, even after all the others like it had been eliminated.  When he finally retired, so did his bus.
The Bergen Avenue drivers and the West Side Avenue drivers - who never seemed to be able to speak English - seemed to spend almost all of their time talking on their phones.
And don't even ask how they had to shove dollar bills into fare boxes made for coinage at the time.  Oh... my... god.

Are you quite sure you know what the word Rare means?

Is this from one of the mere handful of Simeon and Danny Taylor reunion shows in the early 2000s?

The master Ifukube's final take on his own classic "Gojira" score. Totally dignified and worthy of the theme for which he is best known.

You're right... it's noisome and wasteful and unnecessary...
However to be honest, compared to how city bus fleets used to sound back in the 1950s and all the way into the 1980s, this idle doesn't even match up.  That said, if there were the driver's private cars and they allowed them to idle that long, they'd rightly be ticketed.

I haven't lived around the area of Sip and West Side for almost fifteen years.  I thought I would be able to recognize more landmarks than I did, but too much has changed since then.

Pony, I LOVED your commentary.  Really honest, thorough and refreshing.

Say, do tell them they mucked up the ending on this version... the ending theme music plays over the "Next Voyage" trailer and then runs out, leaving both the end of the trailer and the closing credits silent.  That error does not also occur in the Director's Commentary version.

This was when it was clear the City just didn't care anymore.

All of the 24-25 reviews I have read here are pretty much accurate (except the one who seems to think it the "government"'s fault, or whatever). The Post Office is small, old, understaffed and dreary, and doesn't even open at 9 am anymore. My experience in calling them goes between having long waits, to having the phone never picked up at all, to having busy signals for extended period of time, which tells me either that everyone in town is calling to complain, or they are taking the phone off the hook during business hours. I have had constant delivery issues, and follow-ups yield nothing except long hold times. I have been lied to about packages being delivered, and about Notices being left, repeatedly. I have to believe that between this Post Office and Twin Rivers, they have being hiring some combination of incompetents, liars, and sneak thieves... or else witches who spirit things away. The only reason I wouldn't complain about the local service to my Member of Congress is, he's a right wing corporate tool who probably wants to privatize it all anyway. I am a shut-in who can not easily get to the Post Office every time I have a complaint - but then again, I shouldn't even have to. This Post Office is despicable. Unspeakable. Unaccountable. And most definitely unacceptable.

The definition of horrible. I wish they'd stayed in the Short North, where they were. At least there, it made sense for the drunks to start wobbling in there after Last Call. Over here at N 4th Street and 19th Avenue, they're nothing but a sad, drippingly greasy reminder of what pizza and wings COULD be in someone else's more capable hands... such as Mikey's Late Night Slice, which is awesome in every detail. Oh, how I wish Mikey's would buy them out! I'd be so happy to walk over there then.
