My wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch of wonderful Mediterranean style "Italian tapas" at this lovely South End restaurant. I'm rating the food "very good" because she found a couple of dishes very salty and couldn't finish them. And the price is steep - lunch here will set you back as much as a nice dinner elsewhere, except maybe for the pizza. Aside from those issues, everything was exquisitely prepared from the freshest ingredients, a very good meal.

I was excited to try Italian-style dishes in tiny, easy to share portions. I was also curious about this place having just met the lovely guy that supplies the olive oil to the restaurant at SoWa. First things first. The service was super European style. The waitress needed to be flagged down to get service. It was a beautiful night to sit outside so it didn't bother me too much. What did bother me was the fact that they were out of 2/3's of their menu. But still, I was sad I didn't get to try the infamous aracino balls, asparagus, or tuna. And my friend really wanted the chicken liver crostini, but nope, another strike out. I did order the pesto and farro, which I can't complain. I've had farro before and tried cooking with goose berries, which are the most impossible grains to make flavorful. Or so I thought, until having the one at Coppa, which tasted almost pickled to perfection. We also ordered cocktails, which the waitress graciously wrote off of our bill because she felt bad for the lack of menu items. All-in-all not an awful experience. I only hope the next time I come in they will have more of their entrees.

First of all, the fact that the place is so small and intimate makes it a great South End spot. I thought the food was inventive and delicious. Tapas for Italian isn't a concept I see often but this place made it work so well. My favorite thing we ordered were the meatballs: they were the perfect size and had a tasty sauce. Next time I want to try a pasta dish or pizza because many of them on the menu looked awesome.

Went there for lunch with a friend. Great food and cute place to eat outside at on a gorgeous day. Service was a bit slow that day. We expected the pizza to take a long time, but our salad also took a long time. However, great place to stop by at before dropping off my friend at South Station.

I love places that challenge you to try something different. Whether it be spirits, wine or food. It's all the same. I like trying new things! Living in the South End I know I can go here and consistently get something different to broaden my horizons. I also know it will be prepared in a way that is accessible for all at the table to enjoy (although I'm usually at the bar by myself). The staff is knowledgable of their craft and I don't believe there is an question they cant answer or subsequently get you an answer promptly. Food is unreal. I can go into detail but this review will turn into a novel and nobody wants that.
