It's Joss Whedon Week at Amazon.com, with huge savings - incase you want to send someone a copy of the complete series of Firefly on dvd or Blu Ray - or pick up the collectors edition of Firefly or Serenity. Glad I happened across it, ordered the Blu Ray set for hubby's collection.

Thanks to Tyler the store manager at the Elm Avenue Auburn, CA location we will never order from Round Table again. They don't want to fix their cold pizza because the outer box was WARM when it was delivered according to the driver. He also mentioned complaining looked to be a pattern for free pizza because I insisted that a raw, over sauced thick crust pizza be replaced last month because it was not edible. The driver refused to take the RAW pizza with him when he delivered the burnt replacement. We order a large pizza weekly so we'll be taking our money to Mountain Mike's. I hope Corp Round Table and the owner of this location backs him up on this. We'll see what they have to say. We didn't touch the pizza and planned on exchanging it but Tyler just sees us as scam artists looking for free pizza instead of CUSTOMERS looking to have an issue corrected. If that was the case, why would I want it replaced vs refunded. No common sense running the show at this location. This crappy cold pizza hit the garbage can, not our dinner table.

Great Breakfast, Great Service and I LOVED the Holstein theme. Just passing through town on our way home from an appointment in Sonora and decided to stop in for a late breakfast around 11am. We were greeted before the door closed behind us and offered to take a seat anywhere we liked. We were followed to our seats of choice, given menus, offered coffee / water and asked if we had any questions regarding the Day’s Blue Plate specials. The coffee was brought fresh, hot and it must be said that the mug was never under ½ full thanks to the staff who buzzed by often. The delicious mango tea was served in a huge glass which I was able to get down to ½ full before a waitress came, ran off with my glass and brought it back full. Our waitress was so patient with us, made plenty of recommendations but the entire menu is favorite comfort foods so it was very hard to choose. I ordered the 2 eggs with chicken fried steak with the Ranch potatoes and a biscuit and hubby ordered #3 eggs and Ham with a side biscuit and gravy. Due to the scratch made methodology of the awesome comfort foods offered, it did take a little bit to get our meals but it was worth the wait and then some. My biggest issue with small eateries is the clutter – well more to the dust and grime that collects on said clutter. I could find NOTHING – NOTHING AT ALL. The ceiling fan blades were CLEAN, the air intake in the dining room was CLEAN, the faux flowers were clean, the signs, the clutter, everywhere I looked was spotless. I have never seen such a CLEAN place. The table was clean as in no sticky grime residue like a lot of places, the silverware had no water spots, and the floor was spotless. We watched as the table next to us, a 6top, left, the greeter ran over, cleared the table, washed the table top down, dried it and then came back with the electric carpet sweeper and he apologized for the noise. I was really looking, it is my pet peeve about restaurant clutter that collects grime and cobwebs, to the point of OCD levels. I watch too much Robert Irvine and Gordon Ramsey restaurant shows I think. The atmosphere is laid back and the clutter was not overdone. My favorite item was the Holstein Cow print Sword Fish. Very unique. Thin, crispy breaded Chicken Fried Steak, that cracked when I cut into it with my fork, was tender and just melted in my mouth. My eggs to order were perfectly scrambled, not some lackluster omelette that was cut up, but truly scrambled eggs that were light and fluffy. The Ranch Potatoes were seasoned very well, tender and cooked perfectly. The gravy – the GRAVY of the old way – real country fried gravy that comes from cast iron skillets and bacon drippings – the GRAVY that you know is bad for you but OH SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! – Yea, that GRAVY is lovingly ladled onto the plate and the star of the meal, Chicken Fried Steak is gently nestled on top and never hidden. No charge for a side of gravy or a biscuit instead of toast or a stack of cakes. Yes, this Chicken fried Steak meal had a choice of cakes or toast. Perfect portions. The Scrambled eggs with Ham were delicious too. Light and Fluffy scrambled eggs with chunks of fresh Ham off the bone (not luncheon sandwich meat like lots of places) served with a biscuit and gravy. Another great offering made with loving hands of comfort food experts. Nothing microwaved, no canned gravy, no boxed meals here.

Utica park sits well BELOW the highway ( VERY STEEP HILL) so it is rather quiet considering how close you are to it. Family Park with SOFT barked area (was not able to get the chips to splinter) 2 Big Kids Swings 2 Baby/Toddler Swings Very NICE playground structure includes so much for kids of ALL ages: 1 Curved Tube Slide 2 Long Ripple Style Slides 2 Short Toddler Sized Slides there's just too much to list it all as it is a very LARGE play structure. Lots of seating throughout the park: benches, gazebo and picnic tables. Several BBQs of various sizes and covered picnic table area. You ARE able to rent the covered area from the city and they do have a BUILDING that is a REAL kitchen too. If there are no events going on like the farmer's market, there is plenty of parking. If there IS an event going on, parking will be TIGHT so you may choose to park on the Main street and walk down. My only complaint is the road you turn onto from the Main street (HWY 4/49) is HIDDEN, poorly marked and TINY so you will miss it. There is a GUARD RAIL along the street above the park and it ends at the PARK'S ENTRANCE which looks like an alley next to the auto parts store. It is 1way only which is a good thing because 2 cars will never fit on it at the same time. There are restrooms available but I didn't go in them. SIDE NOTE - I went to the visitors center downtown (to use the restroom) which is just a couple of blocks down the Main street (HWY 4 / 49), in the beginning of the historic shopping area. It has METAL toilets and the sink SHOOTS the water UP towards you with each press of the very hard TINY button. No warm or hot water and it had NO HEAT! Other than the absolute chill factor it was a clean and well stocked restroom. There is also a soda machine outfront though I didn't notice the brands or the price. Plenty of parking and a nice gift shop.)

Our Mastiff became ill a short time after we moved to Angels Camp from WA. (She had the same issue 6 months prior to moving and her vet in WA didn't really have any answers to the cause after $1k in fees and tests. It had cleared up in a few weeks and we thought she was all better.) When her symptoms started here in CA, my Mom had us call Cathy. They stayed late that very day to work us in. Arnold Pet Clinic CARES! They understood my mastiff is my CHILD, not just a pet. Cathy was AWESOME with her and compassionate with us as she broke the news that she wanted to run tests to rule out CANCER. She understood our financial situation and gave us SEVERAL $ levels of EFFECTIVE TESTING OPTIONS and road mapped the best course of actions in her opinion which was the best use of our available funds. Cathy didn't compromise our Girls health or speed of diagnosis in the process and was able to rule out the WORST quickly. She went the extra mile by CALLING the Lab Specialists who ran the blood work she sent in regarding the blood work results which was invaluable - we were able to avoid costly tests by this very simple step which 90% of vets just don't do. They advised her that our Girl had 1 of 3 issues by the blood work they ran which led us to run 1 additional test, saving TIME (and MONEY) in treating our Girl. They had all but 1 of the meds in stock and Cathy called the pharmacy herself and ordered the needed med. It was a long road to recovery. I was able to call and speak to the Vet directly or have my call returned within an hour or so. On 3 occasions Cathy had us come in as soon as we could get there to check on our concerns - WITHOUT an office charge. I can't say enough good things about cathy and her staff. I never felt like I was bothering her with my questions or concerns, She understood money was an obstacle for us and did a GREAT job working with us. I was NEVER made to feel guilty or like a bad parent for having financial troubles. Cathy made sure we made smart choices by giving us ALL the information and advising us on the best course in the big picture. THANK YOU so much for all you did for US! Trooper and Family
