Here's an event page for science x theatre, the event I'm running THIS WEEKEND blending science and theatre.

Tickets: http://ytg.jp/en/shows-en/upcoming-shows-en/234-events-en/502-sciencextheatre
Dates:
March 11 @ 14:00 & 19:00
March 12 Sunday @15:00

When science meets theatre, expect big ideas, big bangs, and maybe even some laughs.

How do you act out nanoscale Brownian motion? Can you fit a model of a satellite on stage? What kind of costume conveys 'artificial life'? Actors and playwrights will face questions like these in March when they embark on "science x theatre", a bold experiment of the Yokohama Theatre Group and Nerd Nite Tokyo. Science will be the message, but theatre is the medium: what are the implications of science, how does it affect real people, and what are these experiments and discoveries all about?

This show emerges from discussions between scientists and theatre teams, who have one week to create their plays, blending fact and fiction. The scientific presentations will precede each play when they are performed on March 11 and 12.

The Teams
Sai Maddala & Mochinosha Puppet Company will explore the hidden world of nano materials like carbon nanotubes, graphene, and millenia-old Egyptian inks.

Lana Sinapayen & Taran Nibakins will puzzle over why it's hard to decide if an artificial intelligence is actually intelligent or not.

Stefania Soldini & 1740g will recount the story of Japan's Hayabusa 2 probe and its dangerous journey to and from the Ryugu asteroid.

Where: World Peace Theater in Kawasaki (::CLICK HERE:: for map)
Regular: ¥3000
Student: ¥2000
500 Yen Discount with Pre-purchase

Love this.
There is a sea creature where they all come and sit in a ring and link up like a chain, as they have both parts.

It's not natural?

Nature is kinkier than Frank 'n Furter.

Hey, does anyone know of a site that monitors cell phone campaigns (in Japan)? My Ymobile contract is coming to an end in June. It was a pretty amazing contract I set up during a campaign two years ago ( less than 4000 yen per month for 14GB of data, and a cheap price on a Nexus 6), but when it ends, I'm going to get shafted.

Generally, it seems like the best way forward is to jump to another company not associated with softbank in order to get those customer-stealing deals that they have.

I kind of need to keep my mobile number, so I'm not ready to go data-only, and I'm not super keen on carrying a flip phone AND a smart phone, but I'll consider anything that's cheap enough. My data usage is usually 6 - 8 GB per month (I find myself working in places with shitty or no wifi quite a bit, and I need to tether).

This is one act from the show I'm producing next week. You really should come and see it. Even though Google+ makes it feel like I'm shouting into the void, I think a few of my friends are still on here...

Very cool. The only ones in the world at the moment appear to be in Japan.

Taking the plunge on one of the netbooks. Let's see if this had any effect on performance.

Holy shit, these look amazing.

Hey, fellow laser printer users in Japan: where do you get your toner carts recycled? The place I used to buy from used to send me return slips and I could ship the old ones back for free. The last few places I've ordered from haven't done that.
What solutions have you come up with?
