Check for the program "Linkey" on your computers and remove it.
I needed to update my Java yesterday and apparently clicked on one of Google's Sponsored Ads on the top of the search results list instead of the actual Java website. When I tried to update the program my Antivirus went berserk and caught 6 viruses trying to install. It was able to delete them but unfortunately "Linkey" slipped past.
All of the sudden this afternoon my Bank started sending me a bunch of emails one after the other saying that my account wad been disabled. When I called and after a lenghty verification process they let me know that someone from outside the country was trying to hack into my online banking. Luckily they didn't get anything and my account was shut down before they could. Thankfully I was able to reset all my security settings for my banking website. I also notified the 3 Credit Bureaus to watch for fraud.
If you do find "Linkey" on your computer make sure to delete the Linkey Program, the Linkey toolbox, Linkey browser extensions, Linkey search providers, and anything else that is associated.
I got lucky today. Time to update all me passwords. Sigh.
