I majored in math and minored in music. Over the years I have informally posted to the web many original math papers that hopefully soon will be recognized for their merit. A Google search under the key words RONALD H. BRADY MUSIC AND MATH will lead to many samples of my work.
My brother has a granddaughter by the name of Briah which just happens to rhyme with Malia, the daughter of the President. Briah is also about the same age as Malia and is thinking about college. Being a poet, I composed the following short poem to honor their future academic achievements.
Briah and Malia
By Ronald H. Brady
Briah and Malia are two of a kind
because they both have the same objective in mind.
They are both preparing for college scholarship
which will surely be an adventurous trip.
To reach their goals they will have to sacrifice.
But what their future holds will be well worth the price.
The one lives in the Mobile community and the other lives in Washington, D.C.
But they both should have an equal opportunity to earn their degree.
America is great and will always be
If every American like Briah and Malia
is allowed to be free.
Several years ago I wrote the words, music and the lyrics to the song “Young Girl” which was recorded by Demetrice Faire who at that time was a teenage singer.
My brother thinks that Briah should send the poem and the video link to “Young Girl” to Malia via email. I would just like to get some opinions on this.
