Replacing the alloy wheels on your car after you have damaged them can be very costly. For a replacement genuine wheel the price can range from $600 right up to $3000 per wheel. Thats around $12000 to replace all 4 wheels and if you are like most people you will have more than one rim that is damaged. Getting your alloy wheels repaired in a workshop can also be costly, but more importantly, time consuming and inconvenient. With most repairs taking up to 4 days and costing around $300 per wheel. At Platinum Wheel Repairs our mobile alloy wheel repair technology could save you time and thousands of dollars, with prices starting from as little as $99 +GST per wheel and repairs taking as little as 45 minutes, getting your mag wheels looking like new again is well within reach.

Each wheel is individually priced depending on the amount of damage to the wheel and the complexity of the wheel. Pricing ranges from $99 +GST per wheel for a simple wheel with minor damage in one area all the way through to $199 +GST per wheel for a complex wheel with severe damage around the whole lip of the wheel and spokes.

Whether you are looking to sell your car or just want that new car look again, we can help. To get a fast and easy quote for your mag wheel repair send a photo of your damaged rims to 0421 136 101 or visit www.platinumwheelrepairs.com.au for more info.

I get a lot of questions about the process for repairing wheels onsite. Here is a quick summary of what takes place when getting your alloy wheels repaired. The wheel is first cleaned to remove all dirt, silicon and brake dust. Next the damage is taken out of the wheel using specialised tools and then taken through different sanding phases to create a smooth finish. The wheel is then blown off and cleaned using a wax and grease remover and masked up ready for painting. Our highly trained technician will now match the colour for your wheel before applying a primer and the paint to the wheel. Now its time to apply the clear coat over the paint for a high quality finish. We use only the highest quality paint products to ensure the longevity and finish of your repair. After the clear coat is applied the masking will be removed and your repair will be complete. We complete all our Alloy Wheel repairs on the car saving you time and money. The car can be driven as soon as the repair is complete as long as it is not raining.

Many modern alloy wheels have a machine faced finish. What this means is that the face of the wheel has been cut using a CNC machine and is then clear coated. The inserts of the wheel are usually painted a gun metal grey or black colour. You can tell if your wheel has this finish by the shine that it has and the tiny cut lines on the face of the wheel if you look closely. This type of wheel can be very costly to replace with genuine wheels ranging from $600 per wheel all the way up to $3000 per wheel. To repair these types of wheels back to a factory finish requires the wheel and tyre to be removed from the car and the face re-machined on a CNC and a clear coat to be reapplied. This is a costly and time consuming process costing around $300 per wheel and taking up to a wheel to be repaired. Fortunately, at Platinum Wheel Repairs we are able to achieve the same look at a fraction of the cost and with the convenience of leaving the wheel on the car. This means you can drive your car as soon as the repair is complete. With repairs starting from as low as $99 +GST getting your wheels looking like new again won’t break the bank. Using our mobile alloy wheel repair technology we can remove the damage, match the colour and re-apply a clear coat leaving your wheel with a high quality finish and protection from corrosion.
This will leave your wheel looking close to a factory finish, however if you look closely you may see a small difference where the wheel has been repaired. Once you step back you will see no difference. The majority of the repairs we do at Platinum Wheel Repairs are machine faced alloys and with hundreds of satisfied customers we can help you save a lot of time and money repairing your mag wheels.
