Do you have a Raspberry Pi/Arduino/Beagle Board/Sheevaplug or any other similar device?
Or maybe you're just interested in robotics technology?
Or perhaps you ARE a robot?
Well here's the event for you.

We're gathering everybody interested in robotics in Lusaka to meet, discuss what they hope to do and what they've done with their systems so far and have fun. We'll also dive into some tutorials and have a discussion with people currently in the field.

If you don't have any robotics technology of your own you are still encouraged to be here. This will be your chance to discover the possibilities of getting into robotics and hopefully give you some ideas about what equipment to look out for. You'll definitely learn something interesting.

This is the first event of it's kind and we hope to see what lies out there for those interested in exploring this field.

Here in #Lusaka - we are #Rhok'n it again @BongoHive

Random Hacks of Kindness is here again for a weekend hackathon! Are you ready to RHoK?

Random Hacks of Kindness is here in Lusaka, Zambia this weekend at Bongohive. RHoK is an initiative that invites the most innnovative minds to solve real life problems for real life people. Coding marathons are organised as weekend events in various places all over the world. Not only do we get some brilliantly practical solutions from these events but there are usually rewards and prizes.

The Peace Corps Innovation Challenge

The Peace Corps is a program that sends volunteers of all ages to work for social and economic development throughout the world. These volunteers are on the ground addressing some of the most challenging problems facing humanity today. We, as the RHoK community, can work together with these volunteers to help identify solutions help the communities these volunteers work with address their day to day needs and goals.

Once problems are reviewed and refined, developers, technologists, Peace Corps Volunteers, entrepreneurs and other innovators will team up to develop solutions during a 2 day hackathon (1st and 2nd June).

Our previous RHoK hackathon, resulted in the Bantu Babel App which has received a lot of praise and is definitely making an impact in communication.
