We were here a few weeks ago with a party of 12 to celebrate a birthday. Naturally we did have a reservation, the table was set and ready to go when we arrived. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable abut the menu items. Our food arrived quickly after ordering, everything was prepared as ordered and visually pleasing. What more do you want...?

So I write this review with mixed emotions. The first time I visited was a great experience. The beer and wine lists are nothing to write home about, but the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The second visit was equally good until I got my credit card statement and discovered that my waiter (Dan) had taken it upon himself to to change my $7.00 (22%) tip to a $10 (32%) tip. I'm willing to overlook any number of shortcomings, but theft is not one of them. This establishment will not be trusted with my business or my credit card again.

2 and half stars- The service was great. For it to have the name "Tavern" in the name, I would expect a better beer selection. I was disappointed. I would expect more local beer- especially since Jekyll brewery is down the street. If you are going to have a Sriracha Hollandaise sauce, it should taste like something other than slightly bland. I would not be interested in going back, and I was looking forward my meal. The fresh-baked apple walnut muffin was meh, and the hash browns were gummy and not seasoned. The other people in my group enjoyed their food.

This is right next to my office in Alpharetta so we frequent here quite regularly. It isn't bad in terms of price nor food selection. The only thing I haven't liked on the menu is the cesear salad. The dressing was weird and when I ordered chicken with it the chicken seemed rubbery. But other than that, the clam chowder is absolutely amazing. I could eat it every day of my life. It's nice and creamy and definitely has quite a few chunks of clams. They also have Sunday Brunch. It's a nice atmosphere and the wait staff is always friendly.

Was very disappointed when the best weather conditions for the patio this place is known for was not being used. The weather was perfect to spend it outside and enjoy dinner with my family. Spent our money else where.

Don't let the name fool you! This place has great food and is really nice inside. I honestly would have given this place 5 stars, but the bacon wrapped scallops were very salty this time. I've been here a few times, and this dish has always been wonderful; so maybe it's a fluke. Kudus to the waiter that made my lettuce wrapped tacos happen! Those were awesome. The pizza my partner had was great too! He's not the easiest person to wait on, so thankfully the waiter was really understanding. Thanks again!

I moved from Winston-Salem, NC, Home of the original VT. I have been going since I was a small child. Love the atmosphere, severs are always on point no matter the location. Food is always perfect and if it is not, they always know how to fix it.

Very good food and service. The Mac & Cheese is to die for. And thanks to an awesome bartender we learned one of my favorite drinks it's called a Kentucky Mule, it's a must try!
