How is Google+ better? I have far more people who I have no idea who they are and how they connect with me trying to be in my circles. Sure, I can put them in the "ha, I really don't know you, whatever" pile.. but just seems so much more.. I dunno.. a mass grab to see how many people you can add... with no relevance to if we have anything in common or not. I found I even did it. I added William Shatner. He doesn't know who I am. He doesn't give a fuck who I am -and that is okay. I don't know... Social media but is it social when you're dealing with people who have no insight at all to who you actually are? Now we're really becoming more apart because we're basically doing a land grab of people without understanding why we're doing it. Oh and get off the "Google+" elitist bullshit please. There was a time when it was Friendster, Orkut, MySpace, Facebook... you are not different. This is what it is now, and then it will be something else later. Google watches and markets to you just as much as Facebook does. Please, get a clue. You are not safe. You are not anonymous. You do NOT have control over your digital stamp on the web. You are tracked, watched, monitored. Your privacy is no longer an assumption because the moment you step outside you are monitored by someone, somebody, in some shape or form. Even when you think you're off grid, you are not. You can give up every credit car, every cellphone, every link to everything.. but believe me, if someone really wants to, you can be traced. The moment everything became digital and up in the cloud, you became a part of the collective, willingly or not.
