Thank you Jodie for sharing. Always happy to hear our Eggsplorers' successes! #repost @bondi_mumma
"Im sure most of you have heard of the multi award winning online reading program ABC Reading Eggs. For those who haven't I could not recommend this educational app highly enough. Hugo and Rocco are lucky enough to use this app for homework set by their teachers. Rocco hasn't picked up reading as quickly as Hugo did (not comparing their milestones anymore guys!) we really struggle to get him to concentrate with the readers that are sent home but he begs us (even on weekends) to ‘play’ Reading Eggs. :computer::books:🥚 ."

"...we’ve been teaching Tiggy to read or recognise letters at least and we’ve discovered a fabulous award winning interactive reading programme to do just that called Reading Eggs which is aimed at children aged 2-13 so a perfect introduction to reading for Tiggy."

Thank you for sharing @littlemisstiggy

There are some words in the English language that are very difficult to break down into individual sounds. These words are called sight words as children are required to just learn these words by sight. Examples of these words include ‘because’, ‘would’ and ‘the’. Try writing some of these sight words on cards and play matching games, ‘snap’ or even ‘bingo’ with your child to help reinforce their learning.

"Hard at work! Vic is starting Reading Eggs from the beginning as he’s struggling to remember the alphabet- especially matching up Capital and lowercase letters. HB and Nova are practicing their pen control"

That's what we like to hear! Thank you @free_range_days for sharing.

Here's a little fact about the English language, the most common consonant in English is R, followed by T!
