This is the year I have slept the least, laughed the most and loved the strongest. Being a father does that to you 🙂 This was the year I enjoyed life trough the eyes of my daughter. We traveled together, we explored together and sometimes we cried a bit together. It has been an awesome year, but I am still happy it’s over. The new one will bring new adventures, more lovely couples to photograph, new places to visit, more sleepless nights, too many children’s books to read and reread and I am sure even more precious moments with my family and friends.

Please click the photo below to enjoy a small selection from my adventures in 2016. See you in 2017 😉

Sometimes when you meet new clients everything just clicks into place and you know it’s going to be a great wedding:)Tanja and Peter are such a cute and funny couple and I really enjoyed photographing them and their family and friends. I even found out that we share a common passion for the “Friends” TV series:)
They decided to get married in their hometown Aalst and despite the almost constant rain on the wedding day we were able to really enjoy our photo shoot outside. We even managed to do some shots at the train station and some at the local theatre:)The party continued later on at KAAI 17.
Please enjoy some of my favourites from the day!

There is so much love between these two:)Bart and Philippe got married in Mechelen on a cold but sunny day in February and I was so lucky to be their wedding photographer. It was a day filled with emotions, joy, family love and so much dancing! The official ceremony was held in the town hall of Mechelen and after that there was an intimate ceremony in KAPEL DE ROMMERSWAEL. Later all the guests walked to “HUIS VAN DIJCK” where they danced the night away:)Thank you guys for having me to document your beautiful wedding celebration.

Please enjoy some of my favourites.

My 2014 was hands down amazing. I traveled more that 70,000 kilometres, I photographed weddings on three continents, I made friends in the jungles of Brazil and the deserts of India, I took part in events I will never forget, I enjoyed the sunrise over Ganges, the sunset over the Pacific, I observed ceremonies thousand’s of years old and witnessed so much love and so much happiness and it makes me incredibly proud that I was part of it all. 2014 was a year for some big developments both professionally and personally.

It’s just too much to put it all into words.

I can’t wait to see what adventures 2015 will bring and most importantly I can’t wait to look into the eyes of my baby daughter for the first time. 2015 is going to be soooo awesome :)

Please enjoy some of my favourite images from the past year.

It has been an honour and a privilege to be invited by Marina and Tom to document both their wedding celebrations – their civil ceremony in Kloster Eberbach in Germany and their destination wedding in Ireland in the absolutely amazing Adare Manor in Ireland. As in Belgium, planing for a day with a perfect weather is quite hard, so of course the big day started with a torrential rain. I always tell my clients that bad weather makes for the greatest images and this day proved I am right :)
Neither the weather, nor the fact that the singer that was supposed to perform during the church ceremony in Emly never showed up, managed to ruin their incredible celebration. On the contrary – we even witnessed their whole wedding party signing for them at the end of the ceremony in the very same church where the groom was baptised years ago. Their reception in Adare Manor was one of the most emotional, intense and wild celebrations I have ever seen.

It was such a pleasure to spend the day with Elena and Manuel. Their wedding was honestly one of the most romantic I have photographed so far. They contacted me a few months ago to see if I will be willing to travel and document their celebration in the beautiful city of Berlin. I feel so lucky to have met them and so honoured to witness and document their incredibly romantic ceremony and the great party afterwords.
A big thanks to you guys for having me as your wedding photographer! Enjoy the photos!

“I’m looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can’t-live-without-each-other love” said ones Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw. I couldn’t stop thinking about that quote while photographing Karine and Wim on that early morning in Paris. They are nice, easy going and they honestly look amazing together :) Visiting the city of love is always a great adventure, one that I always gladly embark on. This time our adventure started early at night, with a three hour ride that brought us in front of the Eiffel tower just in time for the incredible sunrise. Looking at the sun slowly climbing over the sleeping city and walking around the empty streets is a treat for one’s soul, a treat everybody should enjoy at least ones in their life! Thank you Karine and Wim for making this ordinary Saturday over the top extraordinary :)

Can’t wait to photograph your wedding in Brazil in a few months! Enjoy this one, more images coming soon!
