Great service! I've never been to their store but two thumbs up for their email and phone communication. A special shout-out to Greg for his patience. Btw, I was supposed to get my bike next week after Tuesday..I got it today (Saturday)!! Because of the reasonable prices, excellent service, and low shipping cost ($55 to Washington DC) now my husband is thinking to get a bike from this place as well. Too bad we won't be able to use the one year free maintenance :)

I rented a bike and when the tire went flat in East Haven the owner leased a zip car and picked me up. You can't beat that kind of customer service.

Incredibly friendly and helpful. I brought my bike in for a few minor issues. The tech trued the wheels, checked, and adjusted the hubs / casette all right in front of me while I waited. Best of all he only charged $5. I initially brought my bike to another shop in the area for a seasonal tune up and new tires. I asked them to check and true the wheels which they clearly did not do. The Devil's gear will definitely get more of my business in the future.

I wish I didn't have to rate it because I would give it zero stars. Once I came in the shop, there were a bunch of guys either fixing a bike or watching some sports game. I came in with a smile and expecting some help on finding a bike for daily use--especially when I saw some good damn reviews about it. I gave them my budget and my bike preference, and one guy just told me to go outside in order to browse the used bikes. After glancing, I came in and they were all laughing and having a nice time with what they were watching. The guy who told me to go outside just looked at me and didn't bother asking if I actually wanted help nor offer me anything that would be suitable to me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never again will I go there after this. For those who plan to go there for the first time, try to be assertive with what you want.

We bought a used bike late in the summer from Devil's Gear that didn't work out very well for us. We returned the following spring and were disappointed with an initial attempt to trade it in for something that was a better fit for our bike rides. We were able to talk with the store manager following that second visit, and he made us a great offer that showed how much the store stands behind the bikes they sell and that they want people to enjoy cycling. I was also briefly in touch with the owner who just wanted to make sure we got everything straightened out. Great job Devil's Gear!

I just bought a new Linus bike (Dutchi 1--single speed euro style commuter with beautiful market bag). The bike is a thing of beauty, and the sale was handled perfectly. I'd come in the store on a Sunday and looked at the bike, and taken it for a brief test ride. I went home and thought about it over Monday, and Tuesday morning called up as soon as they opened. I told one of their employees I'd like to buy it, and he called me back an hour later to say it was ready for pick-up! Could not have been more professional or prompt in the service. I showed up, the bike was ready to go, and the staff assisted me to make sure the saddle was at the right height, everything was comfortable, etc. I rode away & am extremely happy. They are the only retailer in the state with Linus bikes--if you are in the market for a commuter, check them out. They are gorgeous, light, very sturdy and dependable.
