STLCC CDL Truck Driver Training Program Off to Great Start
STLCC will be training individuals to become Class A commercial truck drivers (CDL-A) through a hands-on, five-week non-credit program that includes classroom instruction, practice on a truck simulator, and driving experience. And the employers in attendance at our grand opening seemed ready to hire the program graduates! This new program is part of STLCC’s no-fee, high-value technical job training programs that are grant-funded and offered for limited periods of time at no cost to qualified students.

Thinking is Everybody’s Job
The primary challenge faced by any organization undergoing a Lean transformation is to open the minds of both line workers and management to the power of entirely new relationships with each other. So, how can supervisors and managers prepare themselves to operate effectively in a Lean work environment?

Leadership for Life – Get Moving!
Do you ever find yourself in situations where you want to introduce a change, or simply get everyone to come to a consensus on a direction for the group (company) to go in? You might try looking for the person in the group or organization who is closest to being a peer of the group you’re trying to influence, and has the esteem and respect of the rank and file. That’s the person you have to convince.
