I just bought a Drobo (base model, USB 2.0 and Firewire 800 only) and discovered that it requires a minimum of 2 hard drives to work. I have a spare 1.5TB 7200 rpm drive I was planning on using, but one won't be enough. Shopped around a bit (Amazon, NewEgg, TigerDirect), but due to the hard disk shortage right now, prices are rather high. Anyone know where I can get a deal on drives?

Getting ready to build my new CF9 virtual server - on a VMware vSphere host server with lots of power (2 6-core CPUs and 48GB RAM). My current hardware CF9 server has two quad-core CPUs and 8GB RAM (Windows 2003 Advanced 32-bit).

Since I'll be running Windows 2008 R2 (64-bit) as the guest OS and 64-bit CF9 Standard, I'm trying to figure out how many vCPUs I should allocate to this server. How much multi-threading does CF9 Standard do? What would an appropriate number of vCPUs be?

I have never done load testing before (our CF9 applications are internal only, so small user base), so while I can try to do this on the new virtual server, it would take me a while to figure it all out. So if anyone can share some experiences with virtualized CF installations, I'd be very grateful.
