I'm a beer man, through and through. Just don't have a taste for liquor in general and sincerely don't care about whiskey, scotch, and whatever. Yes, I've really put in the effort to try and get there with the good shit over many years. Well, not sure if it's a magic spell or what, but when I pony up at the TC it's like the sun breaks through the clouds, angels sing, and you bust a move straight into Valhalla. Hell breaks loose later, but man, some of the concoctions and straight sippers I've encountered there have been impressive.

Great whiskey bar for residents of Silver Lake and neighboring cities. A nice lounge area, nicely dim space for a date and/or hang with friends. And it's not located in a bad location - next to Silver Lake Ramen!

My friend and I came here early Friday evening to catch happy hour and boy are we glad we did! The music was amazing, it was 90s heaven and we were instantly transported back to high school. The drink specials were awesome-- two old fashioned for $10 total! The back of their menu shows their impressive list of whiskeys from around the world. We wanted to try some of them but... then we saw the bartender was making this hot toddy with ginger so of course we wanted in on that action. It was delicious!! So warm and just perfection for a chilly night. The staff was super friendly and helpful!

I had a Manhattan here once, it was not bad. At $12, it's on the pricey side. They do have $2 colt 45's, if you're into that sort of thing. Parking is not very good. I had to park in a residential area up some hill.

Had a fun night here recently. I was feeling sassy and told the bartender to make me something "delicious" - and surprisingly, he came through! I forget what exactly he made, but it had apple brandy in it and was similar to a whiskey sour - very delicious indeed. As others have mentioned, the bartenders here are super-friendly. The front sofa areas are also good for groups of 8-12, and you can reserve them on busier nights.

This bar has become a staple for me and my friends. It's a classy joint that specializes in whiskey and uses powdered soap in the bathroom. Even if whiskey isn't your drink, the bartenders have a sense of humor and enjoy making interesting concoctions for the more adventurous patrons.

ok, if you have a happy hour menu like this I am not gonna short you anything less than 5 stars. Come on, this is LA and these guys are making amazing mixed drinks for five freakin dollars. Maybe it's $6, but whatever. The ambiance is nice and cozy, but pretty hip. I especially like the ginger bartendress. I have seen her compared with one or two other bartenders there and she certainly gives a shit and makes every drink count. props!
