I have been going to this place a lot lately, with my friends. We all loved Saturday night's music but last Saturday was the worse experience of all times. The music and the drinks were so bad, that made us leave right after midnight and by that time the dance floor was empty. I don't think that me or anyone of my friends would like to go back to this place again, it wasted out time, money and ruined our weekend.

A classic looking cocktail lounge, I imagine that Empire Room is a nice place to grab a cocktail. Came here for a product launch event that included closing down the whole space, and while the event I was at was fun, Empire Room fell a bit short of expectations, especially logistics wise. The service is adept, but if there is a large crowd it can get very slow. In the beginning of the evening, drinks were served in nice glasses, but within two hours, patrons were being served in plastic cups. I'll have to go back for an after-work cocktail to give it a second try.

It's on the pricey side and I'm always surprised it's so small when I go there. Nice plush seating though and it is quite interesting it's inside the lobby of the Empire State Building. Worth visiting - if only once.

The most horrible experience I've ever had in at a bar. There was no table service, the waitress was extremely rude, she insulted my 50 year old co-worker. We wanted some snacks but they didn't have 1/4 of the things on the menu. They added 20% tip even though it said "parties of 6 or more" on the menu. When we asked the waitress said it was because the check was over $100 which makes no sense. When we refused the pay she called the police who sided with us in the end. Do not go to this place!

This place bears an old New York look to it, but just modern enough to not make it funeral home-y. Was here for an event, and the venue seemed a bit short-staffed. There is only one bar for the entire venue. Sectioned off lounge areas line the front portion of the venue to the left and right of the front entrance for group interactions and socializing. I may have to come back when it's not as crowded, but overall, it was a good time.

Good place at ground level to have a drink afterwork in a 1940 kind of scene. Classic place I say.
