My husband and i visited Mamacita's tonight, Thursday 18th December. He thoroughly enjoyed his enchiladas however I was disappointed with the service. Despite the initial attention paid by the waitress in guiding us to our table, the remainder of our dinner was without attention to detail or the customer which was a let down considering the wonderful food. Despite staring at the waitress for 10 minutes to ask for a glass of water the only attention the waitress served was her attempting to clear our plates and remove us from the restaurant. I was very disappointed. We decided to visit a highly rated restaurant and I cannot say that I enjoyed our stay . The food was lovely but the service was terrible.

Quesadillas and sangria are highly recommended. The enchilada could have used a lot more cheese. Reservations are also recommended.

Be prepared for terrible service, start to finish. I just felt bad for chefs because food is great, however hostesses don't know how to manage reservations. We're told 45 mins, took 1.5hrs and we had to keep checking in with the hostess. In short, get in early and get past the terrible hostess as fast as possible.

This is a place I would do a birthday. The margaritas (of many flavors) are quite good. It's a loud and fun atmosphere with lots of groups and young people. I always get tacos - they have some interesting ingredients that are out of the norm (the mahi borracho is my favorite). They also have some good seafood starters and if you're hungrier, chilaquiles. It's the slightly less rowdy, slightly more upscale/authentic sibling to Tacolicious.

Great atmosphere, best location, friendly service, comfortable surroundings, great drinks. Try the crevice, fantastic! Try the Moletes, too!

Great ambience and service, food is OK.. The ceviche was good, the Tacos (camarones and barbacoa) were mediocre.. Off day? I might give it another go..

I would give this restaurant 5 stars for the food and drinks, really good. However, as others have found, the service was pretty poor.

Great for a night with friends in a fun atmosphere - a little bit overhyped. I would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time - this spot is really popular every night of the week. We were seated outside which was still fun since there were heat lamps and we were a big group. The tacos were tasty but didn't come with many condiments (guacamole, cholula, salsa). The next time I go back, I'll definitely explore other parts of the menu. The margaritas were good and strong, but filled with so much ice that it wasn't worth the $9. Still a fun spot if you're looking to try something new in the Marina.
