This is part of a series but definitely may be read as a standalone, that is what I did. I had no idea that this was a series but I am beyond happy that there are so many more books for me to read in this series! Lili has just lost her job, her parents, for reasons of their own, are not supportive and seem not to care that Lili has been wrongly accused by her employers of doing something that she would never do.

On The Blog:

I am on a reading binge this month but trying to keep up with my reviews as well. Does everyone write the review as soon as you finish the book? I confess that I do not always do this.

I am trying to catch up with Netgalley and have not requested too many books.

There is nothing I like to read about more than fashion and  fitness, so when I saw this title by these two awesome authors it was not a question of should I read this book but how soon can I get my hands on it! I laughed more during this story than any other book so far this year, what a fun book but the message about women's bodies is a good one. I just do not know where to begin with this book , there is so much that I liked.

I recently received an email from an author telling me, not asking mind you, to post my review on Amazon and If I could , Barnes and Noble, Indiebound etc. To say the least I was annoyed. I do sometimes post on Amazon but only if it is 4 stars or more so as not to hurt sales for the author. Most of the time I just forget to post on Amazon.

As soon as I read the synopsis I knew that I had to read this book! Monique has no idea why Evelyn Hugo has chosen her to write the story of her life and make no mistake the public cannot get enough of this aging super star. Evelyn Hugo is still an icon even into her older years. I was fascinated by this book, I felt like I was on the journey with them, riding along on the story of Evelyn's life and it was intriguing.

I have a new favorite Cozy Mystery Series! This book pulled me in right from the start, I loved the hometown Northwest setting of this book. It is set in a bakery , for the first few chapters, in a small town in Oregon and the description of the bakery itself and the pastries had me wanting to visit! I thought that the side characters quirkiness added to the overall feel of this foodie cozy mystery.

This book took a while for me to get into, actually it took me the whole book. I did not have the heart to DNF this one. I think that it was just to sad and depressing for my taste. This book is very well written with a beautiful setting on the coast of Maine. The main character Hope is trying g to come back from a year long depression due to her baby's death.

I loved the premise of this book , how scary is it that you are on a road trip , get stopped by the local police on a trumped up charge , wind up in jail and find out that no one believes your kids were with you. Everyone in this small town actually thinks you are covering up for murdering them.

Cass is having a bad night and things get worse for her. A woman that she saw stopped at the side of the road, a rainy , creepy dark road, winds up dead.

This is exactly the type of book I dive into and do not want to stop until I know what really happened. Cass's life just seemed to fall apart page after page, I kept thinking how can things get worse for this character? The author really took me on a twisted journey with this one.

I enjoyed every page of this book. I am a sucker for a foodie/chick-lit combination story and this delivered for me in a big way for such a short book. It's Monday , Penelope just loses her job and boyfriend/boss and the adventure of Penelope reinventing her life and career starts right at the beginning of the work week! This brings us to Jonathan , a restaurant owner that needs help with his failing restaurant.
