A very authentic steakhouse/diner. Good value for your money. Fast and friendly service. The steak comes with toss green salad and a baked potato. Next time I'll try the tbone. Not a fancy place but a great one. Will be a regular here.

I love this place only for the food. Great prices. The servers do suck. There are time I want to walk out and we alway say why do we come back. The answer is the steak.

Its an old place...not much of an atmosphere and the service is average but the people are friendly enough....we found the Columbine by searching for the best cheap steak in Denver...You walk in and the cooks are right at the front door working a flat top and a wood burning grill...sorta suprised us because we were asked what kind of steak we wanted as soon as we walked in so if you need a minute to check out the menu board stand back a bit and let others in front of you..our first visit was the only time we walked in and were the first in line. The wait isnt long because they move through everyone pretty fast...its usually pretty busy...You get one option for sides..a baked potato, texas toast and a mixed green salad...thats it, nothing else to choose from and you really wont care once you taste the steak. Order the porterhouse...its a full loin cut and has been trimmed with just the right amount of fat...order an extra side of texas toast so you can drown it with the honey thats on the table..its only an extra buck...I keep saying I want to try a burger when I go because usually if a place puts out a great steak the burger is a winner but as soon as I walk in I know that porterhouse is close by and I tank...

Excellent anyone who says different is an idiot, no this isn't Morton's it's local flavor, not pretty but steak is great, and price hard to beat, friendly staff, yes the place doesn't look anything less than a dive, but it's clean where it counts and worth every other negative reviews,I guess your a top chef contestant?

Just stopped into this place because I had to wait for a minute before my next meeting. Definitely a place that I wished I would have come to before. Nice local place with reasonable prices and what seemed like a really good steakhouse. I will be back for dinner sometime soon.

Will not come here again. Cooks are not really cooks they look like excons. Literally don't know how too cook a steak.mine was half burned and half raw. Everthing looks old including silverware tables cups etc. Nothing especial about it just do it at home.

If you're looking for a decent cut of meat at low prices this is it. This isn't Morton's. But, don't go there for the service or ambiance. This is a quick, fast service with not a lot of bells and whistles. The place is old and rundown. Your chair might have a tear in it. There is also a lounge that give you a little more elbow room. For a $12 steak (Cash only), you can't go wrong here. One of the posts said it's a rough neighborhood. It's not that bad, but it is an old neighborhood. There's also plenty of parking.
