We are incredibly pleased to announce our Analysis Exchange Scholarship, a new fund that will allow us to recognize the efforts of Analysis Exchange members around the world. With quarterly awards of up to $500 and passes to eMetrics graciously provided by +Jim Sterne our hope is to continue to re-shape how web analytics is taught worldwide.

Also, thanks to Googler +Phil Mui for helping us spread the word about Analysis Exchange. His posting on the Google Analytics blog was responsible for a HUGE uptick in interest in the program today.
Continuing our long-standing efforts to support the broader digital measurement, analysis, and optimization community around the globe, I am incredibly happy to

Web Analytics Demystified have been the brand shepherds and technology enablers for Web Analytics Wednesday since 2005. In today's blog post, Senior Partner Eric T. Peterson provides some detail on why we continue to support the event and what the event means to vendor sponsors, hosts, and the entire web analytics community.

Having just sponsored our first event, in NYC, we agree with this point: "I think this is freaking awesome."

Here is a question for you all: For ACCELERATE 2012 we are trying to think of ways to continue to make the event FREE but also better ensure in advance that people who are registered actually show up.

One idea that +Adam Greco had was to charge $99 to attend but then refund $99 when you showed up at the event and checked in. If you paid but did not make the event you would lose your $99 and we would donate all collected monies to an appropriate charity or group.

Logistically it's complex but not impossible.

What do you think? Registration for our 2012 events will be very tight and so we'd like to make sure we're assigning seats to people who are committed to joining us and making ACCELERATE a success.

Thoughts?

Thanks +Chris J! We wouldn't be asking everyone for $99, only folks who we are able to make a seat for at ACCELERATE, so folks can still register to attend without having to worry about writing a check.

And yes, based on feedback we are working on an East Coast ACCELERATE event for sometime in the Fall of next year. Watch our blog or stay in touch for more information!

We just added PDFs of all of the "Ten Tips in Twenty Minutes" presentations to our site, accessible via http://www.webanalyticsdemystified.com/accelerate/download.asp for those of you who either A) registered for ACCELERATE 2011 in San Francisco or B) are registered for ACCELERATE 2012 in Chicago next April.

Not New York, no, but we are planning an East Coast ACCELERATE event for sometime in the Fall in a major East Coast city. Watch here or at the Web Analytics Demystified blogs for more information!

Thanks to Michele Hinojosa (@michelehinojosa) who captured a twitter archive of the #ACCELERATE hashtag last week we have a view of what people on Twitter were talking about. We removed the #ACCELERATE and #measure hashtags since they dominated the word cloud if not.

We are also pretty excited about some of the companies coming to ACCELERATE 2011. Have a look at this Wordle made up of the company names that our registrants have provided.

Now that ACCELERATE 2011 is behind us we wanted to share some of the feedback we got from attendees. You can see a word cloud of the free-text feedback we received in the image below.

One thing we did was use OpinionLab's demand central mobile application to let participants rate each presentation in real-time. This allowed us to give two $500 prizes for the best presentations, one to Ben Gaines from ESPN and another to Tim Wilson at Resource Interactive.

More insights from ACCELERATE 2011 soon and make note, you can now sign up for ACCELERATE 2012 in Chicago, IL on April 4, 2012.
