After the public announcement made yesterday about Asia Air Survey GOLD sponsorship for Quantum GIS, I would like today to show another piece of the puzzle. We are working on a new plug-in for Quantum GIS!
I will be presenting the plug-in at the FOSS4G 2012 Tokyo on Sunday 4 November 14.45-15.00 with the following title: "Modelling and simulating land use/cover changes using QGIS: Current Progress". Hopefully you should be able to see the first beta of the plug-in online on the same day.
The event will be held at Tokyo University - Komaba II Campus.
See you there!

Thursday 25 October 2012 was held the first official meeting between the Quantum GIS committee and Asia Air Survey.
We are proud to announce that Asia Air Survey will become the first Quantum GIS GOLD sponsor starting from 1 November 2012. We believe that Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for Geography is now mature enough to be actively used in our projects locally and internationally.
This is just the first step towards a more tight collaboration, stay tuned for more information.
