It Was a Swatch--
Then it grew and grew—and now its a
short summer scarf. You know the kind a little something to wrap
around your neck when you get caught in a cold down draft from an A/C
vent, or at night when things cool down and there is the slightest
breeze that send...

Yesterday, before I posted, I had
already picked up underarm stitches, and worked a full round on the
sleeves for sweater 2. I didn't work on the sleeves
consistently, but did a round here and there between other tasks, and
after lunch and after dinner.. ...

Sweaters That Fit
I delivered the pink and blue sweaters
last week, and my DD is convince they are too big. (At the time, I
only had made 1 pair of booties to match—a second pair will be
delivered this week) The sweaters are loose –and the cuff of the
sleeve needs to be turn...

I've just made some updates to the GoldenApples web page--and added a bunch of internal links to Page 1 of the cast on Tutorial--these will make it faster to find single yarn cast ons, or double yarn cast ons, or the new section on cast on the can be worked in ribbing..

2 Sweaters and A Swatch
Sweater 2 is done, too. Well all
except for having the buttons sewn on.. That will happen tonight.
It should have happened last night, but I got distracted—Some one
on Ravelry had posed the question, “Do you recognise this stitch?” The stitch in question...

Ahem
No, not a hem, though it was a possiblity; I thought about. Instead I opted for a border-- Simple garter stitch. There is plenty
in the yoke on top, and the button bands are garter, so a garter
stitch border is just the right touch. I ended up with 6+inche...

Making Progress
Didn't get much knitting done Monday or
yesterday. I spent the holiday neck deep in the
pool—enjoying the sunshine. Tuesday was filled with chores (more
to do today) and yesterday I spent with the girls... Poor things.

Not Blogging--Again
Not knitting (well, not knitting much)
But I have been reading and doing a little bit of lots of other
things. That about sums up the last month. But I finally do have some progress to
show... Like these sweaters, that still need to
be blocked, and a sing...

Story
Introduction

Not quite a polymath, but way more commited than a dilettant, I am one of those people who has failed at specialization.

Currently, I am engaged in pattern writing—specifically for knittng, but I also blog and maintain a web page, make videos, and... the list goes on.

I am occasionally achronisitc, but more often, I am slightly ahead of the curve (for my age cohort) –most often I am 2 standard deviations from the norm!

NYC born and bred, I can't imagine living any where else.
