Many campers wait until Memorial Day Weekend to unleash their inner camper but we have it on good authority that the veterans plan their getaways a few weeks earlier. Why? Because we're offering a FREE night to anyone who wants to Come Camp & Care with us on May 9th & 10th!

Eddie, the local bald eagle, often soars overhead here, and that's just one of the unexpected delights at this new KOA tucked in the Piney Woods region of East Texas.

My very dear friend and I were preparing for her son's 21st. birthday at another RV spot on Lake Livingston. After making reservations, many conversations over the phone with their "management" and sending invitations we were asked to leave because of over flow. We offered to pay for additional "spots" and were refused. At that point we were asked to leave. WHERE TO GO???? One phone call to Lakeside RV Resort we were met at the door and provided with the perfect spot to entertain. Lakeside made us feel so welcome and at home. Needless to say the party was GREAT, management was helpful and facilities were wonderful. We will return!!!!

Very nice upscale park. Concrete pull-thru and back-in sites. Ample room between most sites so you're not right in your neighbors business.Bathrooms and laundry are clean. WiFi is excellent, but uses a band-shaping scheme that makes watching streaming video a little choppy sometimes even when there aren't many users on the system. Nice boat stall and ramp facilities. Decent pool but no chairs, tables, or lounges. Restaurant serves decent food and has a nice deck overlooking the lake. My only gripes are that they cut down too many of the trees when they did the new build-out from the old KOA campground and they need to address their ant population a little more aggressively. I definitely would and will stay here again.
