Ideas of how forgiveness frees us to move on in our lives.
From my journal today, February 2, 2016 I read an inspiring article in the new Ensign Magazine today called "Forgiving My Ex-Husband". The woman who wrote the article was in her early 40s when her husband divorced her, left ...

There is a sweet young couple in my neighborhood who is having a baby boy.  I wanted to make this tumbler quilt that was soft and sweet.

I love, love, love this runner I made for my coffee table. I fell in love with the bright, clear fabrics one day when I was at Quilter's Haven in Bountiful.  I have a new applique book with has lots of individual blocks which...

Another one of my Quilt Soup applique patterns.  Can't beat summer flowers as a theme for a cheerful, colorful quilt.

Got table topper back from quilter and bound.  Ready to give away.
This quilt design is from Two Peas In A Pod (Carol Adams & Connie Cawley) from Bountiful, Utah and it is called This And That.  The original pattern makes a throw sized quilt, so I just made up 6 blocks to use for a table top...

I was thinking about the subject of faith today and shared some of my ponderings regarding this topic on my blog. I would like to hear your feelings about faith.

I would love to hear your feelings on this.
I am currently studying this book and hope to share some ideas and thoughts on my blog as I go through it.  These authors are deep thinkers and bring up some great spiritual points to ponder. In the beginning of the chapter I...

I have a long time friend who just built a new house and I made this basket table topper as a house warming gift.  I like the subtle colors.

My daughter's sister-in-law, Sidney Christy, has the Day clan over for dinner almost every Sunday evening.  She also hosts most family get-togethers.  She loves to entertain, but I recognize what a huge endeavor this is for h...

Right-on sister. Don't label me as powerless and unappreciated because I am a woman in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

Only found this place because my daughter told me about it, but it is well worth the drive to Kayenta. The desert setting and views are spectacular. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. I had the best hearty mushroom soup I have ever eaten anywhere in the world and a steak wrap that was mouth-watering with lots of flavor. My friend had the "chicken chicken salad' and wasn't quite so wowed. This would also be a nice place to just sit and enjoy a nice cocktail or glass of wine.

This might sound a bit strange as we have not eaten at this restaurant, but we have anchored in the bay in front of The Hemingway on our sail boat. What we truly appreciate is the fact that on Sundays they play classic mood music which is enjoyable and not too loud. This is the opposite of most anchorages in the Caribbean. Generally the music is blasing every night, long into the wee hours of the morning, and is terrible music. Thanks to making this a lovely Sunday afternoon in Deshaies.

I have gone to the Merle Norman studio inside the Newgate Mall on Wall Street in Ogden in the past. I drove 25 minutes to get there today and they were not in the same location inside the mall. So I looked on the mall directory and the Merle Norman Studio was not listed. I got online on my phone and called the phone number listed on Google and it was the number of some poor guy who has no idea what or who Merle Norman is. The address listed online is 3651 Wall Ave, which should be inside the mall. I finally gave up and drove home.

I had an anti-aging facial by Carly and it was wonderful. Carly explains every step of her treatment all along the way. She is professional, thorough, and spent a lot of time with me. I have had facials elsewhere and would highly recommend Carly to anyone.

Staying with Sally was an experience in and of itself. She is 80 years old with more spunk than most women half her age. My sister and I were staying 2 nights and she upgraded us to a larger room for no extra cost. Her breakfasts are unbelievable!!! She has plenty of wine and snacks available any time. The house is eclectic and a bit eccentric, but hanging with Sally made it worthwhile. If you enjoy meeting interesting people along the way as you travel you will have a good time. If you are looking for fancy and modern you may be disappointed.
