My sister was up for the challenge when her friend asked her to make a VW Van pillow. She wrote the pattern down...if there are any VW Van lovers out there who want to make their own!

A friend asked my sister if she could crochet a VW Van pillow. It appears the answer is yes!

Here's the free crochet pattern for other VW Van lovers!

Of the 90 photos I took of my nephew with my new baseball crochet pattern, he's only smiling in a couple! Can you relate? He's almost two...so he's very active.

The super size baseball is a bean bag chair. This pattern I designed includes the bean bag cozy, the ball diamond baby blanket and the bunting and pennant.

Every once in a while I design a scarf (though toys is generally my thing). My mom says this is her favorite piece I've made so far.

Coral Blooms is the name of this scarf and it just got published in Love of Crochet Magazine - Spring 2014.

It works up pretty quick because it's constructed primarily with chains. Merino Wool / Silk blends are great for showcasing stitches.

Coral Blooms is a lacy scarf design that's just come out in Love of Crochet Magazine - Spring 2014 issue. I love how the Merino Wool/Silk showcases the stitch pattern!

My mom says this is her favorite piece that I've designed.

This pattern is available on news stands now.

My sister charted some flames for a crocheted hat. I followed that up with making mittens!

We put together a crochet pattern for the flame beanies and mittens here:

That's awesome! I wish it was a knitting pattern as I don't crochet.  Nice job!

I took 90+ photos of my nephew with this baseball set. He was smiling in only a couple! He was more interested in rolling the giant baseball bean bag around than sitting and smiling at the camera! =)

I published a new pattern....just in time for baseball season. This oversized baseball is a bean bag chair!

Here's my almost 2 year old nephew sitting on the baseball diamond baby blanket.

Of all the pieces I've designed, my mom says this is her favorite.

It's called Coral Blooms and it has just been published in Love of Crochet Magazine 2014. I love how Merino Wool / Silk blends showcase stitch patterns!

There is a lot of chain work in this piece so it worked up really quick.

I couldn't resist crocheting some flame mittens following the chart my sister made for these flame hats!

We put them together in a pattern.

This is a great first project for those wanting to try a bit of fair isle crochet.

My sister charted flames for a beanie. I surprised her by crocheting mittens with the same chart!

We then created hats and mittens for the while family. Here's my nephew with his mom and dad.

We don't usually do fair isle with our crochet...but couldn't resist with this project. Here's a link to the pattern:

Secret to life? Love something!
Introduction
To really enjoy life you need to love.

One thing you can love is work. The smartest man on earth once said: "There is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work."

I agree. I've been building websites for start-up companies and non-profits since 2009 and loving it. The people I work for are great.

Another love is hobbies. For 25 years I enjoyed stamping greeting cards. I made the switch to crochet in 2011. I enjoy day dreaming about new designs.

Life is about loving people (like my spouse, Ronnie) and pets (like my labrador, Joy), too. They make us laugh, they make us think, and sometimes even cry.

Life is a breath of fresh air with a love of the great outdoors! I think it's best enjoyed on a mountain bike! I could be persuaded that a jet ski or dirt bike is they way to go.

Life wouldn't be complete without the love of Truth. Our soul longs to know the meaning of life. We want to know if there absolute truth or should we live by our feelings alone? There's joy in the searching.
