How do you get some sleep?
I adjusted pretty quickly and easily to my ostomy.  I’ve had my moments, like crying over chili, but for the most part I go through my day with my ostomy bag not being any more of a hassle than wearing glasses or contact lens...

Think positive. Life is good. Too many people miss the silver lining because they’re expecting pure gold. Positive thinking isn’t about expecting the best to always happen, but accepting that whatever happens is the best for the moment. So keep smiling and keep staying true to your heart. Someday, the negative voice inside you will have nothing left to say. - via: http://www.marcandangel.com/2013/07/25/4-ways-to-quiet-the-negative-voice-inside-you/

I’m one of the lucky (sarcasm) people who have both an auto-immune arthritis and IBD diagnosis but having arthritis is not uncommon for people with Crohn’s or Ulcerative Colitis.  Having some kind of digestive issue is not un...

The happiest people do not live with a certain set of circumstances, but rather with a certain set of attitudes. Choosing to be positive and grateful for what you have now is going to determine how you’re going to live the rest of your life. So look for something positive about today. Even if you have to look a little harder than usual, it still exists. - via: http://www.marcandangel.com/2013/09/15/9-things-you-do-not-need-to-be-happy/

Do you have a hard time sleeping because of your ostomy?  I do, even after nearly two years.  I'm still looking for the right formula.

I think I made a noise, that wasn't a typical human squeal, when I first used a body pillow about a year after my ileo.. Now I have a human body pillow, so I flop my leg over him. It's gotten easier for me, personally, hopefully you find some comfort (long time perm ileo)

I"m sure there are more than me with IBD and arthritis.   Having to stop NSAIDs helped my guts but hurt my joints.  Have you tried supplements?

Some of my joint issues are due to IBD (it also affects joints), the G&C helps for it, although I already take omegas everyday anyway.

Changing insurance and my first appointment this year hasn't been easy.  We still have work to do.
