Gosh this food is so great. The happy hour specials are a really good deal, and the appetizer portions are generous (especially the tempura-wow). I had a really friendly server who knew the menu really well. By far my favorite sushi place in the Twin Cities!

I love the Uptown location (near Lyn and Lake). Been here three times with my wife and done carry out at least six times. Cool, funky atmosphere inside. You can sit at tables or at bars where the chefs make the food. Staff has always been pleasant. Carry out goes on w/o a hitch. Foods good. I loved the Bruce Lee roll but not sure it's still on the menu. Otherwise, Crunchy Roll and Kick in the Pants Rolls are good. Love their creamy hot sauce, too.

My experience from reservation to walk out..... I used Tiger Sushi II's Open Table reservation service found on their website. Upon timely arrival I struggled to figure out who was a staff member to greet my party of two. Soon thereafter a nice woman in a non-supportive tank top and skinny jeans greeted us and found our reservation. She sat us at the rail of the kitchenette island found through the entrance. We were placed against a glass window pane covered in grease spatter from the stove top just beyond it. Eck! (Note: there were open tables available.) We were quickly welcomed by a gentleman who gave us a glass of water, typical wasabi, ginger and chopsticks, and informed us a server would be with us shortly. While we waited for our server we noticed the entire staff was wearing street clothes varying from cargo shorts and T's and jeans with button up short sleeve shirts. Very unprofessional! One individual walked out of the kitchen with a tea pot and fumbled the steeping ball (w/o tea) dropping it into the water. He quickly removed it sticking his fingers into the pot of water and placed it on a tray that was soon brought to the table to be drank! Another server had a hap-hazardly gauze wrapped finger inside of an oversized plastic glove carrying out displays of otherwise nice looking sushi rolls. Then she ran her gloved hand through her hair at the table. Bleh! Now, 20 minutes later, no server had yet to take a drink order. Time to leave! We walked out apparently unnoticed and made the short trek over to Fuji-ya. We were seated in a packed house within 10 minutes by a professionally dressed staff. We bought a bottle of sake, a lot of fantastic nigiri served sushi and ended up happily paying a $250 tab for just the two of us. Needless to say I will NEVER go to Tiger Sushi II EVER again. BEWARE!

By far my favorite sushi place! Be it the original or Tiger Sushi 2, I always have a wonderful experience and delicious food. I love the patio in the summer, I can even bring my dog! Lisa is great to work with on corporate events, too. She was wonderful to work with and made our company appreciation event a complete success!

This place has a great atmosphere and serves delicious sushi. I went to Tiger Sushi when they first opened; kind of skeptical to the whole sushi deal. Once I told them that though, they totally eased me into it. They started me out with cooked fish and slowly worked me up to the raw stuff. Now I can eat anything there! Oh - and if you are feeling daring - just ask your sushi chef to whip you up something that is not on the menu - you are in for a treat!

Tiger Sushi II is my all-time favorite place for sushi in the Twin Cities. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is beautiful and the patio is super fun in the summer. The rolls are HUGE (my favorite is the Winter Roll, yum yum!) and you get great value for your money. There is a large variety of “cooked fish” options, which my husband appreciates. Tiger Sushi II is a must try for sushi lovers and novices alike!

Last Thursday was my birthday and my wife surprised me with a party of 30 friends at Tiger Sushi 2 in their bar. Now, I love sushi but had never been to Tiger Sushi before. They really made us feel special. Our bartender, Riely...was a hoot. She makes a killer Dirty Martini...and helped us order all kinds of sushi and appetizers for the group. The sushi chefs made a special platter that had hand carved words, Happy Birthday, Mike. carved out of fruit. Even my friend, Joe who is a meat and potatoes guy really loved the Number 10 Zen Roll. They just made me and everyone feel so welcome and definetly turned some of my sushi virgin friends into sushi lovers.
