Isn't it ironic that NSA defenses offered in response to each individual story are quickly proven to be false by the next story?  We are asked to have faith in our government's "insider" knowledge, that they are doing what's best for us.

'Believe us,' they say, 'because we know what you need.  Support us with the blood of your children.  But, do not ask us to prove to you what the rest of the world cannot prove.  The information we have is too important to share with our citizens!  If we shared what we know with you, we would all be in considerably more danger!'

Only the truly ignorant and those people afraid to think for themselves would believe this claptrap.  We are westerners, trained for centuries in the scientific method.  Nothing in this world is accepted as truth without empirical evidence.  Otherwise, every Tom, Dick and Harry would be your medical doctor, your attorney and your airline pilot.

Watch. Think. Do!

"Does it really make a difference whether a civilian is killed by poison gas or by drone missile or dull knife?"

How can we compare and prioritize different methods of killing?  Death by poison gas must be truly horrifying.  Is death by video game, joystick controlled drones really less horrifying?

Killing is killing.

Killing more people cannot be justified by humanitarian ends.  How many people did Jesus Christ kill?  How many people did Jesus order to be killed?  How many wars did Christ win?

Yes, how Christ-like are we?

Not to mention, if we're so certain that chemical weapons were used, why not share our evidence with the UN?  UN weapons experts are there, on the ground in the aftermath of whatever happened.  Why hasn't the UN found the same evidence?
If we publicly share our evidence, then all of our world's people and governments can join together in finding a solution.

As the Dalai Lama points out, "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

Please, do not kill more people simply because somebody else killed people.  That is nonsense.

Do we have enough challenges here on our own soil in the United States of America?  Do we have so much "extra" money that financing a war with Syria makes financial sense?

O, yeah, "humanitarian" interests ... Under what circumstances does killing more people qualify as a legitimate means to humanitarian ends?

What would Jesus do under these circumstances?  How many wars did Jesus Christ win?  We claim to be "one nation under God" and the majority claim a Christian God.

When it comes to war, it seems to me that it's Obama: 5 - Jesus: 0

Yay! We win

Isn't it ironic? Today, with the cloud and publicly available encryption, much of Snowden's "take" is probably partially included in the "big data" the NSA already has, hasn't the resources to sift through and find, and, therefore, doesn't even know they already have? Just as we say in security circles, the only safe computer is one unplugged and unavailable to any power source, the ONLY way to destroy all of his "take" is to destroy every computing device in the Universe, including those inside the NSA. Irony, indeed!

What have we learned from Afghanistan? How much more triumphant are we than our Soviet predecessors, nine years from December 1979 to February 1989? Have we vanquished the evil Dark Star Taliban? Apparently, not and quite the opposite ...

"For years many of us had argued the need to get out of Afghanistan. To end the fighting, the dying, the destruction, the nation-building. To end the foolish fantasy that we were building a Western-style democracy there. We cannot leave, we were told for all those years. If we leave Afghanistan now, the Taliban will come back! Well guess what, after 12 years, trillions of dollars, more than 2,200 Americans killed, and perhaps more than 50,000 dead Afghan civilians and fighters, the Taliban is coming back anyway!"

Let's be honest, it's not always easy to know the nutritional value of the groceries I buy. Wouldn't it be nice if there was an easy scale to compare before we buy? I don't know how reliable this NuVal scale is, but this could be valuable to your health. What do you make of this?

Every business can learn something valuable from this short article. Asking intelligent questions should become systematic prior to all important business decisions. IBM may not have all of the answers; but, several very good questions IBM uses are explained here. What could this mean for your business?

The dumbing down of the masses is not necessarily accidental - it does meet the needs of the Machiavellian elite.  Whether its a genetic degradation or result of convenient diet, this is not altogether unexpected to me.  Unintelligent people do not ask questions.  Unintelligent people do what they're told.  Unintelligent people follow the herd, because they aren't motivated to do otherwise.  Besides, in a future where grunt work is done best by machines, unintelligent people are easy to placate and sing praises to the ruling class.

Collabortive sharing is one of the biggest obstacles I face with my clients.  So many companies and so many people have no idea how to share their ideas and knowledge.  IMO, that is hindering the success of their company.  How have you successfully collaborated within your organization?  What is your takeaway from your collaborations so far?

"I know many of us have that little internal voice we hear when working on something, especially if it's an exciting project. I'm sure many of you often talk to yourselves out loud. You are not the only one who can benefit from that little voice inside your head. I guarantee that you have several colleagues who could learn from you by tapping into your thought process, and you could learn from them."
