Gunna Black had learned to play the organ before she could even walk with the teaching from her own father. Growing up in the "melting pot" of Canada, Vancouver, BC she was able to mingle in the Entertainment Industry at a young age. Starting out in acting and landed a spot on a movie with Marion Wayans, Kadeem Hardison, and David Paymer in 1997 which led to more roles in "Aliens In America", "LWord", and "Reaper." In early 2006, Gunna Black cofounded 13 West Entertainment, LLC in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada and hit the music scene hard managing a four male rap group, Buildin Blox. With great success and being so close the US border she decided to expand South to Washington State. Having homes in both countries and raising two young children with her soon to be husband (Pro Audio Engineer, Zig Zag Black) she decided to make the permanent move to the United States of America in 2009. Deciding to leave the Pacific North West, she packed up the family and moved to Arizona. During this time she was undertook the management position for Rep That Inc. out of California, including Mr. Cas of the New Breed of Hustlers (RIP), platinum recording artist Miss Malika, rapper and super producer, Baldy Loc and Arizona's own B Dogg Gangsta (Byron Scott). Mid 2009 RepThat Inc. signed a distribution deal with AEC "Alliance Entertainment" a major distributor company responsible for the distribution of such power house labels as Sony and Universal. During the filming of the first video off Mr. Cas's latest album "Redemption" on Feb. 21, 2010, Mr. Cas was tragically killed in a car accident. It was complete devastation for everyone. Keeping the focus and strength and legacy of Mr. Cas has been Gunna Blacks focus mostly during the passed year. Never stopping the music, and keeping the legacy alive new albums are born. Miss Malika's "Westside Stories" is now released for digital download by Island Def Jam and MobbStyle/RepThat lastest album has just been mastered and will be released Spring 2012. But it doesn't stop there. The highly anticipated "Da Sea Syde" album by Baldy Loc featuring Kokane, Big Prodeje, Bobby C-Note and produced by vets in the game such as Meech Wells Binky Womack and more is also being released Jan. 2012.
This is my passion. I love it, I love my team, and am so very thankful to my family, supporters, and fans.
~UPDATE~ As of Aug. 2011 Gunna Black undertakes full management of The N.E.T. label out of Big Bear, California.
