"We then got the tagliatelle al ragù and tortellini in brodo: both really good."
"We shared the Fegatini duck liver mousse to start, it was divine!"

Osteria Morini has great pasta and the meat appetizer plate is great as well. Highlights of the mean include the cappelletti (truffled ravioli), as well as the fusilli. Didn't get a chance to try the carne dishes.

Monday is Pasta Night after 9 pm. I am sure all the workers hate it but as a guest I love it. All of the pastas are 10 dollars and they are delicious. The only two that aren't included are the lasagna and the risotto. The space is rustic but chic. It's cozy but still elegant enough to have a special night. The focaccia that comes at the beginning of the meal is fluffy and tender. You don't need any oil but remember to save some because you will want it to soak up every bite of sauce.

Dined with 8 over Thanksgiving break. Had good-humored service, and the pasta was just awesome. I'll go back and try each pasta dish they make.

Old school Italian joint that's rich on vibe and good food. I had the fusilli with pork shoulder ragu and it was nicely chewy with the correct amount of richness in the ragu to go with it. The cappellini was excellent too, light and fluffy on the outside and with a burst of cheese inside.

Great great food! I wanted homemade pasta so came across this restaurant. Everything we ate was great! The bread was so good. We got a starter of prosciutto with grilled bread-fantastic. I ordered the gnocchi and my husband got the lamb and they were the best we've ever had! The gnocchi portion size was smaller than I expected, but in this case that was fine by me! The prosciutto and bread had helped to fill me up. But if you are coming here super hungry and are just realizing on the gnocchi, you might still be hungry. My husband's lamb meal was a very generous portion size-he was happy! We hope to come back next time we're in NYC!

Definitely the best parts I have had in NYC. The garganelli is a classic. Also the Dante brunch option is the most amazing variation of eggs royale - the salmon is cured in house.
